I feel bad for Kaladin. What happened that put him here? I do like Syl. The spren are interesting and I'm interested to see more of Syl as we continue. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure what chapter I'm on but I'm about 1/6 of the way through I get engrossed in the story and forget to listen to what chapter I'm up to. (view spoiler)[ Kaladin's story is really interesting and like you I can't imagine how he got to become a slave. I have faith he will find a way out he is an extremely smart and resourceful person. Shallan's plan is just insane I don't know that she will pull it off I think she will end up liking Jasnah too much to do it. (hide spoiler)]

Elhokar is one of the most annoying characters. He does the stupidest things! I guess he doesn't want people to compare him to Gavilar, but he's going about making a name for himself the wrong way. (hide spoiler)]

And Elhokar keeps doing things that drive me crazy! Why does he seem to be the only one in his family like that? Maybe it's just the stress of becoming king after his father was assassinated, but still. Navani seems interesting as well. Much smarter (like Jasnah). (hide spoiler)]

Yes, it really is getting exciting now. Part one was good but I like how intricate this is getting. And there's lots happening with Bridge Four, which is great.

Chapter 32 Things are getting interesting (view spoiler)[ I think these Spren have a lot more to do with the story than first thought.

Shaman is becoming closer to to Jasnah Kaolin. What were those creatures she drew in the kings picture? Shaman is obviously more that she herself is aware as I believe she has a gift of some sort.

Kaladin is in trouble a gain with the sideways run with the bridge, yes he saved his men but what will the consequences be :( (hide spoiler)]

Through chapter 32. (view spoiler)[The portion with Shallan has been interesting enough so far. I wonder when she'll try to steal the soulcaster. And what were those weird headed figures in her drawing?

I'm really upset about what happened with Kaladin. :( It's not like he realized he was going to ruin the battle. I don't want them to hurt him. But no way is that beating the extent of the damage.

Lopen seems interesting. I wonder what his story is. He seems too happy in comparison with the others. It was also interesting to get some time in Gaz's head. What does Lamaril have over him? It made him more interesting. (hide spoiler)]

Through chapter 42. (view spoiler)[The parts with Kaladin are my favorite. I love seeing his development with Bridge Four. And Syl! She's fantastic. It was amazing how she was taking care of him, chasing away the rotspren while he was injured after the storm.

His flashbacks are starting to open up to how he ended up here. I really like how they work their way forward. It works really well. Roshone is awful.

And who is Teft? He seems to know a lot about Kaladin and these strange abilities he's starting to manifest...we need more of his story!

The Shallan parts are interesting, I just don't enjoy her character as much. What was the voice that she heard? And what is up with Kabsal? He seems really odd to me. Now that she has stolen the Soulcaster, what is she going to do? Will she really take it, and if so, how will she get it to work? (hide spoiler)]

He's not a good person; he's not like Dalinar. But making Kaladin a slave instead of killing him will likely end badly for him. (hide spoiler)]

Through chapter 57. (view spoiler)[I'm not sure what to think of Dalinar and Sadeas working together. I don't know what to think about Sadeas. Adolin is a paranoid guy (but in a very different way than his cousin), but I'm inclined to side with him on his distrust of the man.

I'm glad that Kaladin has decided to learn to use his powers! I really liked the part with him and Wit. Why doesn't Sigzil want him to rescue him? (hide spoiler)]

Through chapter 64. (view spoiler)[Things are about ti get crazy. I don't know what to think about attacking the tower. Or what to think about Sadeas.

Dalinar and Navani are quite cute together, haha.

Through part 4. (view spoiler)[I honestly love this battle sequence. It's awful and beautiful, heartbreaking and heartwarming. We get to see Dalinar and Adolin face down death. Kaladin embraces his bond with Syl, finally beginning to accept himself. And then Dalinar trading his blade for the bridgemen! It's absolutely amazing.

Sadeas is horrid. But so well done. And I really appreciated Dalinar's face off with Elhokar--the kid needs a good kick to the chest for being such an idiot.
