I have to admit that after reading Scorpio Races, which I hated, I was very afraid to start other Stiefvater's book... I started a bit earlier, do I sum up what I think about the chapters I've already read.

Chapters 1-19
(view spoiler)[The writing was very difficult for me - I got lost very easily (but I wasn't able to focus on reading, so that may be my own fault). I have some questions: What's wrong with Adam? I don't think we got a full explanation at the end of The Raven Boys - he's different and for me kind of scary. I quite enjoy the attraction between Blue and Gansey. Ronon's dreams are crazy! Crazy awesome - he can bring things to our world, but crazy scary if he dreams about night horrors. Also, he can be somehow funny, I didn't notice that in The Raven Boys. (hide spoiler)]

I liked it more (4 stars), but I went through some not pleasant things when I started reading this so that may affect my reading :)

(view spoiler)[I though this book might be tricky to read, like the first book was in the beginning, because of the twisty writing. It's not tricky, though I'm still not a big fan if the writing style.
Also, I totally agree with Ronan on the "when are we going to talk about Adam being a self-obsessed a-hole" stand. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I was really happy to see Gansey let go for just a little bit. He's always having to tip-toe around everyone and in return they, meaning Adam and Blue, treat him like shit. It's like they think he deserves it just because he has money. They just can't look past the bank balance and I hate. He's a great guy and people need to treat him better. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 8 (view spoiler)[ I find it weird how Adam can hold down three jobs and school, we only ever hear about one of the jobs as well so it makes me wonder what else he does. I don't understand why he can't take his friends generosity. Really what is $2,400 to Gansey? Not much I'd imagine and it's better than Adam being homeless. (hide spoiler)]

I think blue should definitely tell Adam about the prophecy and why she won't kiss him the poor boy thinks it's him. I'm not even sure it would be Adam she kisses to be honest seems more likely to be Gansey

Adam is so down and depressed and stressed over money, life and well his foul temper he thinks finding this could help fix him


There are times I feel sorry for Ronan and understand his behaviour then there are times I want to hit him, I have to say I don't envy him being able to bring something back from his dreams there's no guarantee you'd always have good ones after all

(view spoiler)[ I like how Gansey and Blue are both struggling with their kind of relationship and trying to avoid admitting what's really happening between them both... Before long I suspect they'll probably be together although I want that to happen I also don't because poor Adam deserves a chance at having his own happy ending and Blue and him seemed better matched than articulate and pompous Gansey and Blue.

Blue finally showed some care and jealousy over Gansey looking over Orla.

See at first I felt sorry for him it must be hard being so out of money and being surrounded by people who make you realise it constantly but he just can't let it go even though his friends actually don't care about that with him surely that's what matters right? That your friends don't see you any differently and dislike or hate you because of it... Now he's starting to get on my nerves with his whole poor me attitude... You don't hear Blue complain half as much
