I am planning to continue with the 2025 Finish What You Stared (FWYS) on my own again. And I'll also continue the 2025 Never Ending Series Challenge and keeping track of my reading 2025 Connections.

UPDATE:

Elsa and I are excited to do the Pick My Book challenge again for this TENTH year! I will also do the Pick One For Me challenge to help me choose monthly books (choice of 3).

The reading challenge that drove most of my reading since 2023 was ccc Series Finisher Challenge. I am getting lots of series books read but only in a month when I can count them :D. I think I am going to focus on finishing challenges and try to resist only reading series books for this challenge.

In 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 I joined more at your own pace challenges and plan to continue these sedate challenges in 2025. I plan to participate in LC Eye of Beholder, TCF Give Me 5, ehrtbm 2025 Pick-It-For-Me-Relay and ccc Letter Hunt with a new pick as you finish level with no book goals for the year.

I think I've been under-utilizing the challenges on Crazy Challenge Connection, as well as The Lost Challenges, The Challenge Factory and My Vampire Book Obsession.

I started waaaay too many multi-year Reading Challenges in 2021 adding to the too many that I already had active. In 2023, I actually completed and abandoned a few of these long challenges. In 2024 I again joined too many multi-year challenges, since I made such great progress in 2023. In 2025, I minimized starting multi year reading challenges (most from FloaB ~ For Love of a Book or ToaP ~ Turn of a Page) so I can make progress on the ones I have open. Ideally, I'd start less multi-year challenges than I finish, but we'll see if I can resist. I participated in too many monthly challenges and got behind in my challenge updating. I need to just do less challenge updating, so I can read & review books.

This year, I will continue with NBRC TBR Tackler and gn 2025 Clean Sweep Challenge and the monthly FloaB BOTM Puzzle Challenge again and MVBO Unclutter Your Graveyard.

In 2023, I started writing a short review when I finish a book so if I never return to finish a full review, at least a short review is there.

I've discovered something disturbing, I think I can only do ONE of the following things: read, write reviews or update my challenges. I think I need to get my challenges down to a reasonable amount, so it doesn't take so long to update them.

In 2025, I realized why my TBR never decreases. The vast majority of my reads are series books, so I read one and add the next one to my TBR. So in order to reduce my TBR, I must read more standalones, delete books, DNF books and finish more series than I add books in a year. Not sure that is possible...but realizing you have a problem is the first step in solving it.
