Teneal | 227 comments HAPPY ANNIVERSARY COFFEE AND BOOKS!

Let's celebrate! (By reading of course :P)

Nominations this month are 'contemporary' and 'classic'. You may nominate one of each :)

message 3: by Kristie (new)

Kristie I'll nominateA Man Called Ove A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman for my contemporary pick. I'll have to come back for my classic. The first two I thought of have already been read by the group and the next was too long to read in a month. :)

message 4: by Alissa (new)

Alissa Patrick (apatrick12211) I love this idea!!

My contemporary pick is Inside the O'Briens by Lisa Genova. She's the same author who wrote Still Alice
Inside the O'Briens by Lisa Genova

My classic pick is I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

If your thinking Gone with the Wind then your so right! It took me a good 2-4 monthes to read the whole thing! I have read some halfway and had to put the books down with some titles above. They simply didnt interest me.

message 11: by Kristie (new)

Kristie Amber - My first two thoughts were To Kill a Mockingbird, then Dracula. Both have been read already. My next thought was The Count of Monte Cristo, but it is 1276 pages. Too long for a monthly read. I may not nominate a classic this time, as there are already a couple books here that I'd like to read.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Im getting confused! LOL we can nominate other books not on this list?

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

In that case I nominate Emma Emma by Jane Austen instead of Gone with the Wind!

These are just the suggestions for the poll for June. We won't know what the actual BOMs will be yet.
Anything suggested will go in the poll, so if there's anything you'd like to add that isn't on list yet there's still time. :)
