This is a vague request. I've tried looking for it myself, but the number of books that come up on searches is just too overwhelming. I'm hoping someone will either recognize it or figure out a way to do a more effective search.
During the 1994-1995 school year, I took a class called Art History. This was high school, not college, so it was a very basic introductory class going over the history of art in general terms. It was not restricted to a particular country or style of art. From my memory, we focused mostly on famous European paintings.
I'm hoping to find the textbook we used. I can't remember what the cover looked like off the top of my head. Maybe tan or peach colored, probably with a famous painting on the front. I feel sure I would recognize it if I saw it again. The title was very basic, either "History of Art" or "Art History" or something along those lines.
The book seemed modern for the time. I'm guessing it was published in the late '80s or early '90s, sometime before 1995. There's a tiny chance it could have been published in 1995, but I just don't think it was hot off the presses when I got it.
The book was full of color photographs. I'm pretty sure that two of famous paintings discussed were The Garden of Earthly Delights and Landscape with the Fall of Icarus.
Thanks mucho for any help!
