As a side note, the book "Programmed" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7... is connected to my author page, but I did not write this book.
You'll need to have support re-attach you, You changed the name, but as it happens it is the correct name, so I can't change it back to an incorrect one.I've moved Programmed to a different profile.
How do I contact support? All I see are these forums.
Thanks! Tragically, I thought I was fixing things by making the names consistent; if I'd known it would break everything I would have left well enough alone. Appreciate the help.
Well, it should be changed anyway, one way or another. It has to match what is printed on the book.
I have an update from support regarding this issue, quoted below:——
It may help to note that you're known in our database as Mike Cisneros with 3 spaces between your first and last name, rather than with a single space. This is to differentiate you from other authors with the same name in the system. The spacing is entirely on the database side, so anyone viewing your author profile page will only see one space in your name. Unfortunately, our data sources don't use a system like this – in their data, all authors have one space between their first and last names. So when we import data from Ingram, we are importing all one-space names.
In the future, just remember to add new books under Mike Cisneros with 3 spaces and they'll be correctly attributed to your author profile. Alternatively, you can navigate to your Author Dashboard (https://www.goodreads.com/author) and click on Add a book beneath your stats. This will take you to the book creation page with your correct author name pre-filled.

With that information in hand, can you please change the author of “storytelling with data: before & after” to be Mike Cisneros, with three spaces between the first and last names? I think that is what will finally resolve all of these issues and synchronize all of my pages properly..

Both Paperback and Kindle versions show up in my author page (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...) but on the book page, I'm not listed in the "About the Author" category, and I should be.
