I need kiddie books

Honestly, I get that so much. For me it’s usually something like The Penderwicks or Anne of Green Gables—those instantly pull me back into that cozy, no-stress kid feeling. What’s yours?

The Redwall series, for me. Read them in elementary/middle school and loved them so much!

There are tons of great ones out there. Hard bc I was reading everything from Dickens to Nancy Drew when I was in elementary school. Try something new like maybe the Percy Jackson series.

How old are you? Just to know what kind of books you're likely to have read as a kid.

For me, my favourite books age 10-11 were by amazing authors like Michelle Magorian, Michael Morpurgo, Jacqueline Wilson, and Judy Blume. That's where I'd start.

There are some more recent authors who've written some incredible books but it sounds like you're looking for the comfort of something familiar.

My friend is a teacher for elementary school and her recommended books are Sadaku and the thousand paper cranes Also. Island of the blue dolphin.
