SOLVED. Children's book, Christian based, about witchcraft in the 17th century, characters are named Jonah and Hope

I read the book in 2011-2012, because my roommate let me borrow her copy, but it was definitely a children's book. It is also part of a series, but i think the books are standalone. Maybe the characters are the same, but the plots are separate. My roommate told me it was part of a Christian series, but i dont remember it being overly religious.
