SOLVED: Children's/YA > SOLVED. Children's Picture Book with a Wheel/ Spinner (possibly on the Cover?) that the reader can use to Change Expressions/ Outfits of the Main Character. Carnival might be involved. Read late 1990s/early 2000s.

Pepper | 8 comments I read this book in my (NY) elementary school's library in the late 1990s/early 2000s. Like the title says, it was a children's picture book that had a wheel/spinner (or two?) that allowed you to change the expression and outfit (or accessories?) of the main character. The wheel/spinner may have been on the cover and I think the book cover may have had a white background, and I think the main character was a little girl with brown (or maybe auburn) hair, possibly curly. I believe that the book itself was about the little girl wanting to sing at a local (maybe her school's?) fair or carnival, and I think it ended with her getting to sing. I think it was a plot point that the main character liked getting attention. It may also have been part of a series.

I appreciate any help/tips that anyone can give me!

Julie (onetrooluff) | 90 comments I'm not sure about the carnival part, but this brought to mind Today I Feel Silly by Jamie Lee Curtis. It has a wheel at the end of the book where you can change the girl's expression to match how she feels in different parts of the story.

Pepper | 8 comments That is definitely the book I'm thinking of--I mixed up some of the details, but that's it! Thank you so much!
