A book I read in 5th grade with a boy, dragons, and an island?? Orange cover?

There’s this one book I read in fifth grade(2022) and vaguely remember the premise of but can’t remember the name of for the life of me. It was about a boy with a dragon on an island that had other kids and people, and the dragon got kidnapped and trapped in a tower or something. The boy rescues him, then there’s like magic doors or houses in the sky. I’m not sure if this was an actual book or a dream anymore.😭🙏

This is a long shot, but is it possible it's part of the How to Train Your Dragon series by Cressida Cowell? I've only read the first book, so I don't know if any of the books match your description of the plot, but the "boy with a dragon on an island that had other kids and people" part of your explanation fits.

Could it be My Father's Dragon? It’s an old book, but it’s one that still republished and read quite often.
