There is a situation where thinga start getting bad. Thebgirl jas diabetis. The father trades some supplies w a doctor who preforms a surgery to put some device in the girl that takes insulin disks. The doctor ends up getting attacked by bandits who end up at the mail families house. The mom ends up getting killed and the girl and her father take off trying to find more disks. They end up raiding a walmart and finding a random kid all alone and adopting him. The dad relizes that therea a manufacturer listed on the disk and decides to bike to the factory. The girls disk runs out right as they approch. The boy and dad break in and find a ton of the disk. The book ends with them deciding what room will be theres in this facorty. I believe i read this back in 2016ish. I think it may be kindle but it could be one of those reading apps. Thanks in advace for any guidance you can give
