Rabid: A Cultural History of the World's Most Diabolical Virus - not so much about anger, but rabies has been associated with angry behavior historically. Plus it has red on the cover.

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan - a key theme of the book is woman regretting taking revenge for a slight that really wasn't there
