Y'all I changed my mind -> I'll watch Lost You Forever S2 after all...I wanted to see more Xiang Liu cuz I missed him but I'm still scared to watch the ending 😭😭😭 but I feel like it'll be worth it so here I go!

I’ve just started watching “A Moment but Forever” with Liu Xueyi. It’s looking promising…

I have now made it to episode 26 and quite like it, but am not gripped by it. Has anyone else watched it?

It is a xanxia drama and Liu Xueyi and Tiffany Tang do a great job, depicting fairly complicated characters who are not always treated well. They slowly develop feelings for each other, but I don´t sense chemistry. They are both good actors but so far no sparks.

The side characters are very good, though. So I am thinking this drama is a xanxia with a romance arc but not necessarily a romance-based drama.

Any thoughts?

I'm currently watching Dashing Youth and Back from the brink. Dashing Youth is not as great as Blood of youth but it's still enjoyable. I have mixed feelings about Brink - it's good but it's dragging too much, imo. But anyway, after Fangs of Fortune I needes more Hou Minghao 😄

That happens quite a lot. Many dramas don't quite wrap up the plot in a satisfying way.

I see that Seven Seas are going to publish the novel on which the drama was based in May. So I was thinking I might check that out... Perhaps the ending is a little better in the original source material?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Cdrama.

It looks like you prefer modern dramas.

Perhaps you might like "The White Olive Tree" (iQiyi). Chen Zheyuan is excellent, but the subject matter is a little heavy (PTSD).

For something lighter, perhaps "The Best Thing" (iQiyi) with Zhang Linghe. Very wholesome modern love story with no angst.

If you like costume dramas, then "Blossom" (WeTV) with Li Yunrui and Zoey Meng is beautful.

And there are lots and lots of other dramas 😊 It is difficult to keep up ...

What a wonderful backstory for your Mira name 😺 My Mirah says hi! Her name is inspired by the gentle and sincere love interest in the Victorian novel, "Daniel Deronda" by George Eliot (a woman). Mirah marries Daniel who resists the more beautiful, but flighty Gwendolyn.

I’m currently watching Go Go Squid. I loved the chemistry between Yang Zi and Li Xian in Flourished Peony, so I was excited to finally watch this one. I’m only on episode 6, but I’m enjoying it so far.

AAhhh Hugh Dancy....I liked watching BBC's Daniel Deronada over reading it. That's right. The novel itself was a little boring. They both have BBC adaptations.

Didn´t know that Mira also is a star. That makes the name even better...

Perhaps begin with "Middlemarch" and see if you like it. "Daniel Deronda" is about finding the roots that you didn´t know you had and trying to work out your identity. It is a little heavy reading, like so many Victorian novels. "Middlemarch" is a little easier to read, because there are so many stories with the side characters that keeps the reader entertained,

"Go Go Squid" is such a sweet watch and Li Xian has both a wholesome and a slightly menacing charisma that works well when Yang Zi tames him 😊
