Review: Very mixed feelings here. The heroine is essentially kidnapped by the mob boss hero because she tried to hide her pregnancy from him (he's the father), so the majority of the story is her trying to plot her escape while also enjoying a pampered life being waited on hand and foot by the hero and his goons. The book tries to paint the heroine as the bad guy and in the end she's the one apologizing, but she is being held against her will. Am I supposed to be annoyed with her or sympathizing with her???
So yeah, the tone was very jarring. It felt like the author couldn't fully commit to a dark romance storyline, but then at the same time the situation was too icky for a cute romcom, so the ending result is that gray area of "eh."

Review: My heart really went out to Cory. He really struggled with coming home to where he had a rough childhood. Rhys was a great character and was a great match for Cory. I really felt Cory's emotions through this. It was a good read overall.

A sweet really easy to read story with no angst. Crete's twin and his husband are killed in a plane crash and he needs to move to Arizonia to look after his nephew.
Jett is on a cross country journey with his roommate when he is abandoned when his roommate finds his mate.
A little while later Crete comes into the club Jett is working at and although he knows he is his mate, he leaves him.
The 2 get together and of course Zephyr is there as well.

Review: #3 in the Fish out of Water series. I love this series and re-read it regularly. The MCs, Ellery and Jackson, complement each other so well but all the side characters are interesting in their own right, too. In this episode, the intrepid pair tangle with Karl Lacey again but bring reinforcements (much against their respective wills) from Victoriana and the Racing the Sun series. Ace, Sonny, Burton, Ernie and Jai add their own dynamic to the story and increase the excitement. 5* as always.

Option 1
3. There is a public declaration by an official (Minister, celebrant etc.)
Read a book with punctuation in the title and/or series name.

A combined 'title: series' name will work. The proof can be on the main page of GR or on the bookcover. Please link to the page or include the bookcover.
It must be limited to the actual title and/or actual series name. Tangential sentences to the title or series will not work.

I have almost DNF this book, but as I don't like to leave books unfinished (although I do it often have them in pending), I tried to finish the book. I don't regret reading it to the end, but it seems like the heroine tormented me a bit 😂. I'm curious about the next book, is a different couple and I have hopes will to be better.

Review: This was surprisingly enjoyable despite the somewhat predictable plot, featuring your typical meek Gothic heroine who is being terrorized by her abusive husband and her twin sister. The story was fairly dark and depressing, but I loved seeing Adelaide's growth as she found the strength to become her own person and triumph over her difficult circumstances. I do wish the villains were fleshed out more - especially Victoria, the "evil" twin. She just seemed too evil that I might have rolled my eyes a few times lol. I'm a twin, so the "evil twin" trope is sort of cheesy to me. Still good fun, though!

This had me chuckling throughout. Matthew was a funny character who came out with some great lines. Cal was a billionaire who almost got hit by a truck and was saved by Matthew. It was definitely an odd meet cute, but I loved how it brought them together. They seemed like they were completely different in the beginning, but I loved how Matthew helped Cal feel settled and loved for who he was inside, not for his money and status. This was a great feel good story.

Nat was one of the Omegas rescued in the last book.

Soon the 2 start a relationship and Nat becomes pregnant.
The usual type of story we expect from this series and author.

Review: This is #10 of the Arrowtown series and, according to the author, will be the last. It was a good ending but didn't have as strong a plot as some of the earlier books. Rocky and Mal finally got together as fated mates in spite of knowing each other for decades with a long-standing curse the sting in the tail. Adding mpreg and the usual Arrowtown characters to the mix provided an entertaining book. Just not as strong as it perhaps could have been.

I've been planning to read this book for a long time, but many times it happens to me that I read a very popular book and I just don't like it as much as I expected. From the middle of the book something just... Didn't click for me... I wanted to give it 5 stars because it's a very good story and something unique compared to others, but it didn't reach my heart as I expected.

So we have 2 water shifters who are enemies.
Echo is a dolphin who goes into the Orca ocean to search for a cave he found out about in his grandpa's journals.
He is attacked by 2 great whites and Mael, the Ocra comes to his defence.
When they connect on land they find out they are fated mates. We meet Mael's siblings when they help the pair find the cave.
There is angst in the shape of the fact that neither the Ocras or dolphins like each other very much.

I continue to love this series. The characters are wonderful. Despite so many books and ways that they could all be similar, the author has a way to make each story different, interesting, and engaging. This one got me teary eyed near the end, but it was beautiful and lovely. Cope, Jude, and the crew are amazing.

This series is heating up nicely - a good mystery with some intriguing questions to be answered. The two MCs in this book took a while to get together but thankfully neither was as irritating as Keiran in #2, so I enjoyed it much more. I also liked that Robson, although 100% human, wasn't automatically the weaker of the pair. I'm really looking forward to the other 3 books in the series, if only to discover why the Kincaid Pack is being targeted and by whom.

It was slow read but a good read. I'm sure this book will make a good movie. The dolphins scene make me laugh out loud. Although it took me a while to finish it, every time I continued from where I left off, I quickly returned to the story.

Review: I've been following the series from the beginning. This latest installment isn't a favorite. I didn't care too much for the storyline with George's aunt, and there were too many characters (and drama) to keep track of. It did get more interesting after the aunt was murdered (not a spoiler) and a bunch of secrets starting coming out, but my attention wavered a lot.

Review: I did not enjoy the writing style much and was annoyed by the characters' illogical decisions. As a "bodyguard" romance this completely missed the mark. The hero wouldn't be there to help the heroine if she's in danger, but he'd certainly show up after the fact when she is already in the hospital! That was the entire vibe I got, lol.

Dev was such a quiet and out of the spotlight kind of guy. Watching him find out about Lellie and working with Tully to eventually make a perfect home for her was beautiful. I really loved seeing Dev come to terms with his past and his own happiness. This was such a sweet book. I am glad to see Dev settling in Majestic.

Review:
The adventure continues from the first book, but the style seems different. This volume is more spicy that the first one. The ending didn't surprise me because I read the precis of the last volume and it was something to expect. I'm sure I'll read the last book to have the full story, but until then it's hard for me to give a true rating of this book. Of course I liked the book, I can't call it amazing, but it kept me invested in the story.
