YA/ Adult Fantasy (part of a series?). Several people from different times or locations wind up in this alternate dimension in a blizzard and they end up in a farm house? Spoilers ahead.

I want to say the story is from a whole series, and I don't think I read the first book in the series, either. I think I just picked it up from a used book store, read it, loved it, and intended on buying the other books but just never got around to it.

Spoilers Ahead~

In the beginning I remember this girl (teen?) is driving with her friend in a midwest type of location (like Michigan or Wisconsin) and suddenly the terrain changes and it goes from rolling hills/plains to like Rocky Mountain-esque mountains. They get into a car accident, and the friend dies, the girl lives..

Meanwhile there are these 2 brothers or friends who are snowmobiling and one of them gets in a wreck or runs out of gas, the other goes to find help or something and finds the girl from the crash and helps her.

There are some other characters too, I think, but I cannot remember them well. Maybe a military guy, maybe another girl/woman from a truck stop or something..

They all end up in this old farmhouse from the first girls past, but it's like a different world version, like something is off about it, and there is some kind of shadow monster or creature thing closing in on them, and they're trapped in the farmhouse?

There is some relevant information about a parent or someone from the first girls past who is doing something important in the barn near the farmhouse.

In the end of the book I want to say she somehow ends up in another time or universe/dimension and the book ends with her standing on the roof or something? It definitely ended on some kind of cliffhanger that would have been leading into another book.
