review

Bree Mathews has a lot going on with her mother dying in an accident and going to a UNC program for High schoolers. She finds out magic exists and secret magical societies too. I loved Bree and felt so bad for what she was going through. There were so many sad and violent memories from her ancestors. I liked the friendships and the twist at the end. I will continue with this series.

Yasira Shien helped develop an energy drive to help humanity but a catastrophic accident happens killing many. AI are Gods that rule in this future force her to find the other scientist involved in making the energy drive. This story was sort of strange anyone that thought differently from what the gods believed was branded heretics. Yasira went through so much trying to do what was right and who to trust. I will be continuing on with this series.

Review:
This is the third book in the series The Edge. I don’t know why I haven’t finished this series. I have enjoyed each of the three books but, I always seam to drift away.
Audrey Callahan’s home life isn’t the best. Living in the Edge is difficult. This is especially true for Audrey. Her brother is a drug addict. Her father is a grifter who manipulates Audrey into using her gift to get money for her brother's drug addiction and for his schemes.
Audry moved away to try and put this behind her. She was doing well with a steady job when her father found her. He coerced her into one last job. Her father and brother would get the money, and Audrey would be left alone.
This one last job set her on a course that was the beginning of the rest of her life.

Review: This is maybe my favorite of the series so far. Each book has featured a main couple that have a serious conflict to overcome, often based in their childhood. Multiple issues is both Sienna’s and Hawke’s early years make them who they are and have embedded the fears that they bring to their relationship. As they grow and trust each other over time they fight their personal demons. The climax is not only a battle for the survival of the Snow Dancer Pack but a realization of each of their strengths and what they bring to each other and the Pack. The secondary relationship between Walker and Lara was a beautiful story. And, of course, all the scene stealing by Sasha and Lucas around the birth of their baby was so humorous. Great book!

Fire is considered a monster in her world due to her powers. She is embroiled in politics of her kingdom since her powers would be helpful to the king. I loved the chemistry between Fire and Brigan. It's taken me a long time to read this but I'm glad to finally get to it. I will definitely continue with the series.

Reyna and Kianthe have a personal mission that they needed to travel to find something important. Then they were given a job to do by the local lord to deal with pirates giving him trouble. I loved the matchmaking and fun chemistry between characters. I will be continuing on to see what happens next.

Linda C (libladynylindac) | 716 comments With these completions we are complete through #11 and have 2/3 of #12
The letter for this week is L which will be a Bingo for Team #6 when they are up to date. They are exactly in the same position as we are with 11 completed and 1 person left to finish 12. Then they have to read for #13 which is L and Bingo.
If we finish 12 and read for 13 we still have to get a winning letter. When they finish 13 they bingo.

Do we want to invest the time in reading for 13? Or do we want to concede and end the game here for us? I am willing to end it. I have another challenge that I could spend more time on. However, I will go along with the majority. Thoughts?
