She tells others she resides in an apartment but actually lives in a tent hidden behind the complex. She gets "caught" when her love interest follows her and finds the tent, with the money and list of people who were family did wrongly by. The whole town (including him) initially hate her. She also was the one to cooperate with police when they found out.
