Meredith | 1819 comments I already finished (my library hold came through very quickly). My first impressions were that the world was super interesting and the MC's voice was very strong.

Beth (rosewoodpip) | 2010 comments I'm a little more than halfway done. Super-fast reading, just like I'd hope for from a YA.

I'd add (view spoiler) to the CWs because of the description of (view spoiler) early in the book.

Melani | 148 comments I'm having similar issues with this that I did with Fourth Wing. If the long drawn out war requires the certain death of a huge portion of your population, it's not sustainable for very long. With this one it's kind of worse, where dozens of women die every couple of weeks for centuries. I'm not sure there is a population that can sustain that for several hundred years. I'm enjoying this more than Fourth Wing, but the suspension of my disbelief is struggling.

Friendly reminder that specific book comments should be posted in the full discussion thread. This is the spoiler free thread.

Alicia | 48 comments Okay this book started off like what I expected but then deviated from the normal modern fantasy set up… Feet binding descriptions always gross me out.

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) | 610 comments I’m enjoying this book a lot!
