I LOVED Roslyn Sinclair's Carlisle series:
And Jen Lyon's The Senator's wife trilogy
Both are slowburn romances with super-interesting MCs and interesting stories.
Also, most by Jae and by Rachel Lacey :)
I just finished Bachelorette Number 12 as an audiobook on HOOPLA and it is hands down my new favorite book. It was so cute and funny!

The priory of the orange tree by Samantha Shannon is one of my top 3 favorite books of all time, can’t recommend it enough
Lucky Red by Claudia Cravens is without a doubt one of the best sapphic books I’ve ever read. Her writing is absolutely incredible and draws you in to this world so beautifully. I often found myself thinking about the story and the characters when I wasn’t reading. However I will warn you it is a western novel and very much falls into “old westerns” category where it is not a happily ever after but still has a really good ending that sets the book up for a potential sequel.

When Women Were Warriors by Catherine Wilson is probably one of my fave WLW books. This was the series that got me back into reading again. I read the entire thing in a couple days. Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters is also an all time fave. It’s a historical romance. Big fan.
i love scifi/fantasy lesbians so my fav is gideon the ninth!
oh and a description! it's about lesbian necromancers in space, some fantasy elements, some sci-fi. also a bit mystery/gothic. it's part of the locked tomb series. it's the kind of book that can be confusing but when you finally put things together it's jaw dropping. definitely rewarding to read it twice. and the fourth book is supposed to come out this year.
“How You Get The Girl” by Anita Kelly!It’s about a former WNBA star who was traumatized by the court and a high school basketball coach (who used to be a fan of said former WNBA star.)
This book is truly my Roman Empire, I think about it at least once an hour and I read the book a year ago!😅

Carmilla by Sheridan le Fanu. It’s basically the sapphic version of dracula! It was actually written before Dracula.
Colorblind by siera maley such a sweet book!!
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston! I didn't read the full sinopsis before reading it and I think that made me like it more. Also She Gets the Girl by Rachael Lippincott and The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth
Bloom Town Genesis (Followed by Boom Town Exodus) Ally North- these books kept me up until early morning trying to finish them. So many different emotions. Ugh- I wish I could reread for the first time!
So many good recos above, such a tough question..Im gonna say anything by Lee Winter. The plots always have a bit of a thriller aspect to the romance and her characters are tenacious.
