I finished Dead Man's List by Karen Rose and as always, Rose has woven another taut, intricate suspense thriller with detailed characterizations and multiple plotlines keeping readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. 4 Stars My Review
I read Blood and the Badge: The Mafia, Two Killer Cops, and a Scandal That Shocked the Nation by Michael Cannell, and it's a shocking true crime expose' about a case of police corruption that's considered one of the worst betrayals of the public's trust ever known in American history. Truly a shocking read! 4 Stars My Review

2. God with Us: Bible Stories on the Road to Emmaus by Matt Mikalatos
Uses the biblical story of the journey to Emmaus to present some interesting correlations between the Old and New Testaments. A bit tricky for the target age group of middle-graders, but could work for older readers.

Kate Atkinson is a favourite author and I love her Jackson Brodie series. In the latest, Death at the Sign of the Rook, I was surprised the focus was mainly on the strange, gathered assemblage, with much less on Jackson and Reggie (yes, she's back!) whom I really wanted to read about.
