Please Don't Lie by Christina Baker Kline & Anne Burt is a slow burn of a psychological suspense. Set in an isolated mountain location, it's eerie and unsettling, but the ending seemed rushed after a slow build up.

I missed the original audio version of Aussie/Irish author Dervla McTiernan's The Fireground when it first came out, but she made the ebook available later.

So far, I've enjoyed everything I've read by Aussie author Michael Robotham. For many years, he was a journalist in London, a place he knows well, where The White Crow is set. I like the premise of the daughter of a gangster being a young detective. Of course, Philomena's always suspected by both sides of leaking information, but Robotham makes it work.
