Keli | 36 comments Erica, the 2024 year of banned books has already been archived, so I've come here instead. I just wanted to say that was a brilliant challenge. I read things I would likely never have read. I finished my reading year on Stone Butch Blues, powerful and heartbreakingingly bittersweet. I just wanted to say thank you for the challenge. Happy New Year.

Oh thanks so much! You can still access the challenge in the archives and I'll still be prompted if you make comments. I'm always interested to see what you have to say. You read more deeply than I do, I think.
I would be up for some buddy reads in banned books if you're interested in any others. The next one I plan to read is Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood.
Have a fantastic year!! And, thanks so much for the positive feedback.

Maybe Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood later this month or February? Let me know what works for you. I'm a bit behind on planned reading at the moment but what's new?

A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy by Alexandra Bracken. I gave it two stars. Not for me, though pre-teen readers might love it.

A New Hope The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy (Star Wars) by Alexandra Bracken

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1933 comments Finished all 3 of mine:

Hell on Earth (Hellhound Champions, #1) by Macy Blake
This was pretty cute - I didn't read the other series that ties in with it so I might have enjoyed it a little more if I had done that. But still liked it and will continue this series

Trusting Cade (Custos Securities, #1) by Luna David
This book drove me crazy with some stupid stuff - a great runner who apparently can't run faster than a 10 minute mile, an MC that owns and does all the baking for a coffee/bakery but sleeps in until 6:30/7:00am every morning. Then both MC's make some TSTL decisions that even an idiot wouldn't make. Ends on a cliffhanger but I don't even care enough to read it.

I Went on an Adventure and All I Got was This Barbarian Orc (Crack Fantasy Adventure, #2) by Jennifer Cody
This is just adorably cute and I'm enjoying it.
