Read Your Name Challenge

Hi all,
I thought it might be fun to do a Reading Challenge together :-)

The challenge is called:

READ YOUR NAME CHALLENGE

In this challenge you have to read books whose titles start with each letter of your name.

It can be your real name or your current Goodreads username.

The books can be of any genre.

There are two challenge levels:

Level 1 = Read your first name
Level 2 = Read your full name

You can choose to do either one of them.

Also, you can start the challenge whenever you like but there will be a deadline. From the date you initiate the challenge, you will have exactly one year to complete it.

Once the year is up, you would have to change the status from "ongoing" to "complete" or "incomplete"—whatever the case might be—and end the challenge.

Of course, if you complete the challenge before the one-year deadline then you can change the status and end the challenge on that date only.

If you decide to give up on the challenge before the one-year deadline, you can switch the status from "ongoing" to "incomplete" and end the challenge on that date only.

Once you've ended the challenge, you can do it again in a new template with a new start date and a new challenge number.

However, for every challenge you do, the books must be those you've never read before. No rereads allowed :-)

If you want you can read the same book as another participant if both your names contain the same letter.

If you have trouble finding a book starting with a particular letter, you can ask the other members for recommendations.

Ramla, I have a question. Do A, An, and The count as part of the title for this or do we did to drop those when looking at the title of a book?

For example, should I drop the "The" in The Antique Store Detective" and this would work for A because of the word Antique or should I use "A Killer's Code" for A?

Another questions... this is a romance group. Do the reads need to be romance?

And for the articles--a, an, and the--can they be disregarded? For example, would The Knee Jerk count as either T or K?

To answer your questions:

(1) The books can be of any genre.
(2) The articles should be considered as part of the title and should not be disregarded.
