Urban fantasy is my favorite type of book. I am a Fur, Fae, Fang girl 100% (in that order) The early authors in this venue were careful to make Romance a part but not a story. As more and more writers jump on the wagon they have made sex, not even romance the focal part of the book and we forget that it is a book about intrigue and fiction. Terry Spears has given us back the magic that made urban fantasy my favorite. Yes there is sex but the story supports the sex instead of the sex being the st ...more

I liked that we are getting another type of werewolf. I hope there's going to be another book down the track that tells me what happened to the whole group. As newly turned, it would be interesting to see whether they adhere to all the old traditions.

Terry Spear has definitely come into her own as an author. I have very thoroughly enjoyed her last two books in her werewolf series, both of which show a lot of growth from her first book. After reading this latest edition, Ms. Spear is now on my autobuy list.

What I like best about this story is that the hero and heroine are not wolves. At least in the beginning. They meet while doing their own investigations for different reasons in the same place. And from that comes a great storyline not only

Terry Spear’s Heart of the Wolf series has evolved into such a large grouping of sub-series that I’ve made the choice to go back and re-read the earlier stories in order to get caught up on characters and events in the newer releases that are connected in some way. Legend of the White Wolf is a perfect example. This 2010 release introduced us to four men, friends and business partners who would eventually make up a newly formed, newly turned wolf pack. Four ordinary men

One of the first romance books I bought from my excursion to The Ripped Bodice. I like the idea of paranormal romance; it's right up my alley.

But this wasn't very good. The characters were wooden. The plot dragged. Between every actual action, the character had to stop and internalize for like three paragraphs. The romantic tension was laughable; (view spoiler)

I didnt care for the storytelling in this book. I prefer if authors give the reader a little credit and allow them to come to their own conclusions rather than spell everything out. also the main character, faith, although constantly described as strong by the men in the story, was too weak for me. I prefer my heroines to be able to defend themselves. Faith has a gun at one point but is afraid to use it, rather she resorts to pepper spray and wielding a frying pan.

Paranormal romance is my favorite genre and I'm always on the lookout for new authors and series to read. Well, I absolutely loved this book!I can't wait to read the rest of this series. What a well written, action packed, sexy book. If you love werewolf stories then this series is for you! Well done Ms. Spear!

Just loving this book series! The red wolf though in the books is a little too high on himself. Hope something happens with him!

Blogger's Personal Property: A copy of this book was received from author after Authors After Dark conference where we met and discovered that this book takes place in my state.

Terry's book takes place in and around Millinocket, Maine, a fairly remote area. It was probably developed as a paper mill town, with it's companion logging, and it sits at the feet of Maine's Mount Katahdin. The town is a gateway for the wilderness that surrounds it

Cameron McPherson & Faith O''Malley are each looking for people that have disappeared somewhere in the Maine wilderness for different reasons. Cameron is searching for his missing partners that have not returned from a hunting trip and Faith is trying to locate information on her ex-boyfriend who has stolen her father's research papers from his trip on the same type of expedition. Fate however, has her own reason for doing things and has put these two in each other's path with

Legend of the White Wolf is the fourth in Terry Spears series. Something is up in the tiny snow encased town. Faith is chasing her recently departed boyfriend who heads into the woods. Cameron’s work associates disappeared in the same forest leaving cryptic, barely audible phone messages. The townsfolk elevate uncooperative to an art form when Faith starts asking questions.

Faith O’Malley is hot on the trail of her boyfriend. Make that ex-boyfriend. If leaving without a word wasn’t bad enough. H

Recommends it for: Paranormal romance and Werewolf fans
I really enjoyed this instalment of the series. Again it was a departure from the others as the main love interests weren't loupe garou to begin with. First one was changed and then the other but I loved all the characters. Cameron, Faith and Cameron's partners Gavin, Owen and David.
I didn't really like Kintail though, he really got on my nerves, Lila did at first too but I grew to like her at the end when we learnt her history but I still wasn't fussed over Kintail.

As I’ve found with the other books written by this author, it’s a paranormal suspense story with a touch of romance thrown in. The book is well written with virtually no spelling or grammar mistakes which are far too common with ebooks.

The romance in this book is between Faith and Cameron. Faith is a police forensic scientist and she is on a mission to recover her father’s flash drive and hard drive which contain research and information for his big reveal (he’s a sociologist). Cameron is a P I

I like Terry Spear’s wolves. I guess that would be a given, since I love dogs so much. But of course, wolves aren’t dogs. They’re not tame. They’re not pets. Normally they’re not human either, but Terry Spear creates an intriguing, and ever-growing world of werewolves who are not the scary, all teeth and no brains creatures of children’s nightmares, but long-lived, loving, wild, enticing strangers, hiding away from our world, sometimes in plain view.

I have definitely become a true fan of this series. And even though this book wasn't as good as the others to me, I still enjoyed the story. Cameron was probably my favorite character of them. Like I've said in previous reviews, I always find myself connecting with the male characters. I also really enjoyed the romance between Cameron and Faith. Faith was a strong female, but sometimes I felt as though she was a little too strong minded at times, if that makes any se

Cameron and Faith separately set out for the wilderness of Maine, both for different reasons. Fate brings them together. But the danger of the wild outdoors and their enemies could tear them apart.

Since I haven't read the books previous to this one, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book. But both the story and the characters pulled me in very early on. For me the brightest point is the character, Cameron MacPherson. I liked the sexy hero right away. Very charming and commanding, and plus
Loved it. Wish I had re-read the first 2 in series but it is a good stand alone. Cameron is looking for his 2 friends that went to Maine to hunt and didn't come back. Unknown to him they have been bitten by wolves and are now wolf shifters. Faith's father was in Maine with a group looking for Big Foot but he only pretended to look for big foot he was really doing research paper about people that looked for Big Foot. Only he saw something he shouldn't and wrote about the wolves. Faith's boyfriend ...more

Legend of the White Wolf is a romance with the added complexity of werewolves. While Faith O'Malley is a smart, beautiful heroine on a mission, when she suddenly faces future as a werewolf, things become markedly more complicated. She draws the attention of the local Alpha but she has her eye on another.

Meanwhile Cameron has his own mission - and must help find his missing partners. Cameron discovers and gets on the wrong side of the local werewolves. He must find a way to save his friends and k

In the fifth book of this series, it finally mixes it up a wee bit. I hope the next are going to be this good and this is where the flip happened from boringish to amazing!

loved this one !!!

I loved that both of the main characters of this story were both fully human. I loved how Faith was on a return mission to get her dad's research back from the ex who used her to steal it, and I also liked that Cameron was on a mission to find out what happened to his friends and colleagues.

I liked how Faith and Cameron were instantly attracted to each other and I liked how they both ended up in the same place. I also liked that throughout the story Faith and Cameron were able

This was a great read. I started the book back in August and got distracted from reading it by too many things going on. When I picked it up the other day I couldn't put it down. Finished it in 2 days and loved that I was reading it during the firt snowfall in our area. My favorite thing about the main characters was that Cameron (the hero) knew from the first moment that he wanted the heroine (Faith). What I loved about Faith was she was a "Kick butt, independant, free-thinker".

Another great book in the Heart of the Wolf series. I just love how Spear mixes the romance and the actions in her books. Even her characters are lovable. You can't help liking them, at least the good ones.

As for this book, I love how Faith had a real tenacious and bad-ass personality. And Cameron was swoon-worthy. The hint of vulnerability he showed was even more endearing.
You can say that the action and the romance are quite balanced in this book. And there wasn't a boring moment in the plot.
