In honor of the 10th month in our 10th year of ATY, this week, we are reading a book whose title is 10 or fewer letters!

Use these lists at your own discretion - they are mostly for "short" titles, which may or may not be longer than 10 letters!

What did you read for this prompt?

LeahS | 1395 comments Planning The Trees and Nutshell - and actually read them!

I thought the first one was very good, with a contrast between the light tone and the horrible realisations. The list included towards the end was a real shocker.

The second was fun, but best read if you are familiar with Hamlet.

I just finished The Fox Wife last week. It was excellent! And you get bonus points for a three word title that is still 10 letters or less lol.

dalex (912dalex) | 2646 comments I have a few titles that will work but for now I’m planning on In the Quick by Kate Hope Day. It doesn’t get much love on the internet but a friend raves about it so I’m going to give it a go (probably).

Kathy E | 3333 comments These three look good to me:
Lucky Jim - Kingsley Amis
Ruth - Elizabeth Gaskell
Spring - Ali Smith

NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 3631 comments Kathy I will be reading Spring this spring too. I always like her books, but they are sometimes hard to get into right away.

I’ll probably end up using the shortest title that doesn’t fit elsewhere. Too choices atm:
Pod
Moo
Betty
Spring

Pod by Laline Paull Moo by Jane Smiley Betty by Tiffany McDaniel Spring (Seasonal Quartet, #3) by Ali Smith

I reread Binti this year and I highly recommend this sci-fi novella.

Tracy | 3123 comments I read this novella from 1968 (my word, I don't know if it was characterized that way at the time). It was a quirky sci-fi-ish book. I didn't realize how old it was when I started, but the tone of the book stood out, so I looked it up. I ended up really liking it.
