Nope, it's not that horrible. I think you should give it a shot and decide that for yourself!

I enjoyed it because I am a sucker for dragons and romance. It isn't great, and recycles a lot of commonly used themes, but what books are completely original anymore? Definitely on par with, and same vibes as ACOTAR, Throne of Glass, etc.

Do we have any other Nora Roberts fans here? She used to be an auto buy or auto read of mine, but the last several books of hers just fell flat for me. I then tried to read some older releases, but I couldn't get into them either. I'm thinking of calling it quits with reading her.

The Maidens from the author of The Silent Patient. I even pre-ordered that book and was so disappointed. It was just so blah. Especially after how amazing The Silent Patient was, I really wanted to love this book.

I tried and wanted to like The Night Circus so bad. One of my good friends from work is a huge reader so I trusted her opinion, but I tried reading it three times and couldn't get into it even though I read half of it. I was so bored.
