Hi ElizabethApologies, this week absolutely got away from me! Here are your picks. We have completely different tastes in reading, but I hope I found a couple that you enjoy.
Turkey, stuffed or not
🦃 TBR: Anathema (wings on cover)
🦃 NEW: Year One (wings on cover) I’m reading the second in this series now, this one was so good! Eerily similar to recent events, but with a magical twist.
Ham
🐖 TBR: Throne in the Dark (pink cover)
🐖 NEW: Heartstone (Made me squeal lol!) P&P but with dragons! This one is hit or miss depending on whether you’re a Pride and Prejudice stickler or just love a good fantasy so it could also be a turkey for you. I enjoyed the whole series.
Potatoes
🥔 TBR: Blood of the Sands (yellowish cover) If my potatoes are that color, I’m not eating them, but I’m counting it for this rule! Lol!
🥔 NEW: Dark, Witch & Creamy (sweet!) Light, cozy read
Cranberry 'sauce'
🍒 TBR: Spookily Yours (saucy character, pink/red cover)
🍒 NEW: Kitty and the Midnight Hour (Saucy character) Interesting plotline, though hit or miss for GR ratings.
Pies, pies and more pies
🥧 TBR: Bride (round moon on cover and one word title) Sounds good! I've read others by this author and enjoyed them.
🥧 NEW: The Last Werewolf (round moon on cover) Another hit or miss whenever I recommend this one. I personally enjoyed it and horror is absolutely not my genre at all, but I enjoyed the author’s writing and the whole series.
Cookies
🍪 TBR: A Dark and Secret Magic (tagged holiday/Halloween)
🍪 NEW: The Night Circus (tagged historical) This one also surprised me
Latkes
🥮 TBR: The Songbird & the Heart of Stone (golden items on cover)
🥮 NEW: Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match (gold item on cover) This is probably lighter than you may like, but it was a fun read.
Minced Pie
🥧 TBR: From Blood and Ash (sharp object on cover and high GR rating) This one’s on my TBR as well!
🥧 NEW: Stalking Jack the Ripper (sharp object on cover and high GR rating) I enjoyed this whole series, but this one the most.
BONUS: Stuffing (or dressing)
🦃 TBR: Daughter of No Worlds (title starts with D)
🦃 NEW: Silent in the Grave (title starts with S) Enjoyed this whole series, though this is likely not your normal genre.
WhooHoo!! Everyone should have their picks - thanks all for being on the money this month! Happy November Reading!!
