Taking a peek at other threads for the Movies task:Crush
Cold Moon
Rock Paper Scissors
The Shoemaker's Magician
Drive to Thrive
Stolen Heir
The Weight
There is always New Moon, of course! And my audios are Wait for It or Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin or Under Locke.
And this one was excellent! The Star and the Strange Moon
I can do any of them if someone else wants it. We prefer not to have train, and yeah movie is tough.
Ugh - searching indeed. I do actually have a book set in Washington state on my short list. But I'll take a look for the others too.
LaurLa, take Washington. I always love to re-read my Mariana Zapata books, so I’m good with going to the movies.
Okay. I did do some train searching. There's the obvious train book - Agatha Christi with Murder on the Orient Express if someone cares to read (or reread) that one.
I also have this: Murder on the Flying Scotsman if needed. Not on my short list but doable on Jan 1 ;-)

There's also a Miss Marple that has a train title. And I bet there's a Nancy Drew with a train on the cover. But Louise asked for train, so I assume she has something up her sleeve.
It looks like we have
Louise - 👻Read a book with a train on the cover
LaurLa - 👻Read a book set in Washington state
Berit - 👻Read a book with all the letters of TITANIC in the title
Laura - 👻Read a book where someone goes to a movie
Laura wrote: "But Louise asked for train, so I assume she has something up her sleeve."I didn't even see that!!

Dr. Janosz Poha
Dr. Janosz Poha is the head of the Restoration department at the Manhattan Museum of Art. Vigo has him under a mind-control spell and is using him as a servant. He can take the form of a red-eyed, spectral nanny with a baby carriage to abduct a baby for Vigo to possess.
Tasks
👻Read a book with someone who is a servant
👻Read a book with a nanny character
👻Read a book with a baby on the cover
👻Read a book with the author's initials in Poha

I actually have a POHA author or a nanny character.
Ugh - I had a baby LAST month! But, for now I have POHA author for sure. I can probably find a baby on the cover if needed.
If Louise doesn't have a baby, I can read
. Looks like a baby strapped to his chest to me.But my KU check-outs are full right now, so I'll have to finish at least one book before I get to it. And right now audios are what I'm getting to fastest.
ETA: That's actually the case with my other task options as well. :)
Does this look like what we've decided:👻Read a book with someone who is a servant - BERIT
👻Read a book with a nanny character - LAURA
👻Read a book with a baby on the cover - LOUISE
👻Read a book with the author's initials in Poha - LAURLA

Book: Nanny for the Bossholes

How it fits: MC is woefully unqualified as a nanny, but is being paid to be one. Also, her replacement shows up in the book for a few scenes.
Vigo the Carpathian:
Vigo the Carpathian was not well-liked by his people. They poisoned, shot, stabbed, hung, stretched, disemboweled, drawn and quartered him. I guess they wanted to make sure he was dead. Just before he died, he muttered "Death is but a door. Time is but a window. I'll be back!" His ghost took up residence in his portrait which was painted long before his death.
Tasks
👻Read a book with a door on the cover
👻Read a book with a hated character (your interpretation)
👻Read a book with a character who is stabbed
👻Read a book with a portrait on the cover

i'd prefer not to do either of the cover item tasks, but if someone wants to direct me to a book I can do those.
I’m reading Kiss of Death and a vamp has just been stabbed with a pencil 🤣It also covers hated character
I asked about portrait in the Q&A because technically a portrait is a picture of a person, so almost any cover with a person on it would count. But I wanted to make sure because Donna may actually be looking for an actual framed picture on the cover... which is a lot harder to find, to be sure!
How does this look?Tasks
LaurLa - 👻Read a book with a door on the cover
Berit - 👻Read a book with a hated character (your interpretation)
Louise - 👻Read a book with a character who is stabbed
Laura - 👻Read a book with a portrait on the cover
LaurLa, if you would rather have portrait, I can switch to door.
I can do door. I need to read another book first for White Elephant that doesn't work for either door or portrait, unfortunately, then I'll read for door. So probably this weekend sometime.Donna hasn't answered but going by what you found, it looks like we maybe need someone who looks like they are posing, so for that, I'd say your second choice.
👻Vigo the Carpathian:

👻 Anna the main character hated everyone, and everyone pretty much hated her as well.

I have a Washington state book (Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series is set in Washington). Although if anyone is currently reading through Mercy Thompson, those are set in Washinton.
I have one I can re-listen to where they go to the movies. I don't really know how to search for this one, because searching the text of the books is not necessarily specific to if they are going to a movie theater.
I won't bother to look for Titanic since Berit is asking for it. It's fine with me if you take it, Berit.
