Vigo the Carpathian:



Vigo the Carpathian was not well-liked by his people. They poisoned, shot, stabbed, hung, stretched, disemboweled, drawn and quartered him. I guess they wanted to make sure he was dead. Just before he died, he muttered "Death is but a door. Time is but a window. I'll be back!" His ghost took up residence in his portrait which was painted long before his death.

Gertrude Altridge haunts the Altridge Mansion Museum. She was the eldest daughter of Sir Aldridge. She stabbed all her father's servants while they slept one night. To avoid public humiliation, he locked her in the basement and fed her through a door slot. Years later, the mansion was sold and her spirit still resided in the basement. The new owner was spooked when hearing some strange noises so he had her remains removed and the basement sealed up. When you get to the mansion, the basement door opens on it own and Gertrude appears. Team member 1 tries to introduce the team and the apparition vomits on the member. What an introduction! Can your team catch her?

Danielle, I'm so glad your daughter is ok! Something similar just happened to my daughter a couple weeks ago. It's so scary when you get that call. I couldn't breathe until I could see for myself that she was ok.

A message from Donna: So I believe one team has gotten to ghost 13 out of 26. The challenge is set to end at the end of December. I allowing teams to continue on as a full team ONLY. You may replace a player, steal from a team that has broken apart, etc to continue on after December. There must be 4 players to continue on at the end of the month. I think some of you have figured out why... teehee.

Thanks Catsalive for adding here! I admit I read it and completely missed the question.

I would be up for continuing until the last ghost. We are making pretty good progress.

That said, I will be a bit slower the next couple of weeks. I'm on a work trip which means longer work days, a conference on the weekend and less opportunities for reading breaks especially the audiobooks.
