Option 2: On teammate Danielle Gypsy Soul's read shelf, read 11.26.2024, rated 5 stars.

Always a bonus! Glad that worked out for you. I just didn't have it in me to look through those long lists and luckily found an Option 2 book from my M&G list quite quickly.

I've already got some options lined up for the last week, so I can be ready to read as soon as Jane announces the last theme! Ideally, we want to pick shorter books so we can finish them quickly. The only time speed matters in this challenge is the last week. I know this is a busy time of year, but I think we can do this!

Option 1: PTP 10. Patience is required

Book: The Cosy Travelling Christmas Shop
Author: Lilac Mills
Page Count: 302 pages, Kindle Edition
Qualification: I have The Cosy Travelling Christmas Shop in my Digital TBR I Own shelf since 08/09/2022. It is also of one of the Netgally's eARC that I need to read and review. It is also a book that is close to the Holiday season.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.25
Date Read: 12/07/24
Review: I wanted to read a holiday book as we headed into the holiday season. I picked it up while browsing my long TBR because The Cosy Travelling Christmas Shop fits some reading challenges.
The Cosy Travelling Christmas Shop is a tale of a small-town charm and festive atmosphere, with a dash of romance and British humor. I appreciated the feel-good, uplifting spirit of Seren's journey as she brought joy and festive cheer to the residents of Tinstone. On the other hand, I had some trouble with Daniel's grumpiness and his feelings that the world was against him. The only ray of sunshine that manages to get in his life is Serene. Or the star of his eyes, as the meaning of Serene's name in Welsh is a star.
I get tired of the miscommunication trope for the third-act breakup; there are other ways to do it. I also love Aunt Nelly, Serene's aunt, and Daniel's grandpa, Edwin. I like the wisdom they give to the young couple in life. I like how the author, Lilac Mills, brings three generations together with a happy message about the holiday season.
The Cosy Travelling Christmas Shop is a sweet, cozy Christmas romance fitting for this Holiday season.

Please change this to say completion post rather than selection. Thanks.

Option 1
Book: Tequila Sunrise by Layla Reyne
Pages: 150
Date Read: 12/6
Rating: 3 Stars
Review: I admit I wasn't a huge fan of Mel's in the previous 3 books and this book didn't really change that for me. I liked Danny but I didn't love him either and again this book didn't really change that. I think because the characters took such a back seat to all the action in this book. This was an action packed suspenseful story and I did love that part of it. However, it's pretty short so we don't get a lot of interaction between Mel and Danny and their relationship is really told through a series of short flashbacks (never my favorite).

Option 1

The King and His Vigilant Valet by Charlie Cochet
Pages: 140
How it Fits: #76 on List Can't Wait MM Books for 2020

As long as we get our week 10 books read and the one minor correction, we are in good shape to read for the win!

The Seven Year Slip
Read: 12/8

Review: Such an emotional, heart-warming read. I love how the author tied up every character, every event, every memory to the main plot of the story. I would highly recommend this book!

Option 1: PTP 10. Patience is required (Read a book from one of the following lists:)

Star Rating: 5
Review:
Lori, Aiden, and Jace have been best friends since college. Lori is secretly in love with Aiden and Jace is secretly in love with Lori. This all would be fine, except Jace knows Lori is in love with Aiden, who happens to be engaged and getting married on Valentine’s Day. Of course, this doesn’t sit well with Lori, so she enlists poor Jace to help her, and things get really complicated after that. I laughed and shook my head at some of their antics. Even though this book was predictable, I enjoyed it, and it would make a cute Hallmark rom-com movie.

Review: Camilla Isley's writing is very entertaining, and I like that in this story, Blake and Gabriel get to know and connect before they start their relationship. They both have good communication skills, even if they have some not-so-good communication skills. I like their meet cute.
The premise of Not in a Billion Years is a humorous romance and business-driven story; I enjoyed the witty banter and second-chance romance between two strong-willed entrepreneurs as they navigate their competitive yet undeniable attraction. The slow-burn relationship is done very well, and the secondary characters are delightful. I for sure will continue with the series because not only I devoured the book in two sittings, there were so many LOL moments.

We should have the generator going when I get home, I will post my completion then.

Option 1

The King and His Vigilant Valet by Charlie Cochet
Pages: 140
Date Read: 12/9
Rating: 3.5 Stars
Review: This was cute and I'm not sure if it's the last one of the series or just the last one published. It's nothing deep but it's a fun read. It was nice seeing some of the characters from the previous books. I also liked finding out what Jean was and it wasn't something I had guessed.

Eventually found something and got the car charged enough to get home. Now hubby is out in the dark trying to get it hooked up. I just want to sit on the couch and cry. All will work out I’m just fried. And my hubby drained my computer battery trying to figure out what we were doing so I am only on the app. Will get my completion up tomorrow. 🤞🏻

I love Valentin and Silver!! Still! Their story is so good. I loved how they stood up for each other and fought to be together. And the who was scarier battle was funny.

Loved this! I loved the characters, especially the hero and heroine! Valentin is a great big gruff hero with a great big heart! Silver is the typically cold Psy - until she isn't anymore. Together they were wonderful and I loved how everything worked out for them!
Angela Dawe's narration was wonderful too!

Week 10 - Complete!
We are in great shape. Now we just need to have books ready to go come Friday. I've got mine downloaded on my phone and Kindle so I am ready!

Yay!!

I struck message 263 and correctly posted the completion post for week 9 on message 281. Sorry for my mistake. I will do my best to check my message before I press the post button for the last completion post.

Now we are all set for the last call tomorrow!

Updated the books for you since they appear as a series on the author's webpage.

And a couple of reminders before the last call tomorrow. If you want to use Option 2 it will be for a different team that will be announced with the call. Also, Jane will not ask for any corrections - so we need to make sure all of our posts are complete and accurate. Please help by double checking each others posts! It is so easy to miss something and more eyes looking is helpful.
And lastly, if a winner has not been announced and we all finish our books, we need to post in the Q&A saying that we are done. The win has to be claimed, so if you are the last one done go ahead and post in the Q&A.

We have 100% check marks. Do no letter marks or highlights mean that we are in the lead? ( Missing prompts: 3, 4, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 16) Who else, besides myself, is waiting on baited-breath for the week 11 prompt to drop?
