Read: 11/3/24

Review:
This was a scorching hot, kink fest of a reverse harem and paranormal romance. Esther rally enjoys sex and she has lots of it with her ‘monster’ men, including an invisible man, Sphinx shifter, vampire and Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde type of monster. There isn’t much world building here. So I just had to go with it and not question anything. By doing that, I did find myself enjoying this fun and sexy romp.

Review: This was a cute little novella with a sexy plot where our couple is snowed in and fall fast and hot for each other. Only our h, Angeline was there to spend the holidays with her older boyfriend and to meet his son Alex. So, when they get snowed in together and sparks fly.

Review: I tend to be very hesitant to read YA boks, but I'm thoroughly enjoying this series! The premise, setting, and characters are all so much fun, and I can't wait to see where it goes next. The narration by Moira Quirk was excellent also.

Review: Not a lot of authors can write MMM romances well. However, Ellie Thomas did a remarkable job, with not a lot pages, to completely flesh out relationships between Clem, Humphrey and Clem during the early 19th century when homosexuality was frowned upon. Some things did fell a little rushed but overall a beautiful story.

Review: I have mixed feelings about this installment of the series. On one hand, it's fun seeing the next generation all grown up and venturing out into the world...stretching their wings and in several cases rebelling against their parents and others of the "older" generations. At the same time though, much of the foundation for the actual plot lines in this book are very hazy to me, so I tended to get lost a lot. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if I'd done a reread of the previous book first. I didn't really let that affect my rating though, as that is a 'me' problem, not an issue with the book. As always, the narration by Jim Frangione was excellent.

Review: To enjoy this book you really have to suspend belief that any of this is possible. After giving birth I could barely move much less be gallivanting about trying to solve murders. The author thros a lot at you in this book as it's the start of a series. Hopefully the other book will be more straightforward. Assign this book in a SexEd class and I think we wouldn't have to worry about teen pregnancies 🤷🏾♀️🤣

I enjoyed this small town romance. Scarlet was a different kind of heroine, tough, fiery and hilarious. And she was just what Devlin needed to get him out of his dark, troubled mood. There was plenty of heat between the two. The mystery of what happened to a missing girl was touched on here. It will continue throughout the series. And it will keep me reading the series.

Review: I loved these characters so much. For someone who was supposed to be a hardened businessman, Silas was an amazing, caring, patient man. He wanted nothing more than to make Way's life easier.
I really liked how the small town didn't make a huge deal about Mr. Mayor marrying a man either. They just accepted it.... as it should be.
Lucy Lennox could have made the conflict all about miscommunication and not communicating at all and I for one am glad she didn't. I hate that trope with a passion. Most sub-par romances would be better if the author would just let their characters talk to each other. Lennox worked Way and Silas's stubborn ways out in a realistic manner. No they didn't immediately talk about their feelings. Sometimes they stewed on it all day. But in the end they talked to each other. I was loving every minute of it!
This was my first in the series to read and not my last!

Review:
This was a fairly light, fun paranormal romance. When Mateo, a werewolf, is hexed and can’t shift for three months, he goes to Evie and her sisters, who are witches, for help. Mateo also has Alpha, an Id-like alter ego, spurring him on to find a woman already or fight. I did find Alpha and the interactions between the sisters humorous at times. There were also some fun action scenes. And plenty of heat between Mateo and Evie. A good read!

Review: This was a fast paced, keep you on your toes read. You have one thought as you read "poor Joey." Also, as you tell yourself it can't get any worse it proceeds to get considerably more disastrous. Much like the red or blue pill in the Matrix we'd like to believe we'd make the right choice and not answer the phone but when you see a potential end to your struggles, it's human nature to take it.

Review: I don't know why I'm so surprised how much I loved this book. I don't think there's a book of Tijan's that I've read where I haven't fallen in love with the story, or the characters. Bad Boy Brody was no exception. Brody's journey, his loss and his finding the beautiful, wild, Morgan and their passion for one another, the way they bring each other back to life and the peace they bring to each other just put me in all my feels.

Review: Even though I really liked Michael and Ari I don't think this book captured the fun of the first 2 books. Even with Ari being the demon of Chaos and Vengeance his chaos wasn't utilized as well as it could have. The two MCs were perfect for each other but the added mystery of who was trying to keep Soulmates apart wasn't used to its fullest. Of course I'll read more on the series but this one was just ok.

Review: The Last installment of a Sweet holiday themed series by NR Walker. I normally am hesitant when it comes to one of my MCs being closeted but in this case Colson had already come out once at 18 with horrible consequences and his not wanting to blow up his life in Hartbridge was understandable. It was a complete trauma response and I'm glad he worked through it. I do wish counseling had been mentioned though. I'm a firm believer in counseling especially for an adult who who experiences emotional trauma as a kid from the people who are supposed to love them unconditionally. Not to mention when that adult has altered their life in such a way where they refuse to celebrate holidays because because they know they are going to be alone and lonely for the rest of their life based on that trauma. Ok I'll get off my soapbox now.
On the happier side it was lovely to see all the couples from the first 3 books and Hamish was a welcome humorous break in what could have been a bit too serious of a book without him.

Review:
A time travel/hockey romance. Definitely something different! And our hero gets to meet Jane Austen in person too, and falls in love with Lizzie. This was a light, sweet, romantic, marriage of convenience romance. My only complaint is that I did get bored some. I would have liked a little more drama or tension. But I did enjoy the end. It was a little different, like the rest of the story. So this was a solid 3 star read for me.
