message 158: by Aurora (new)

Aurora Tuzas Book that got me into reading would probably be "Tokyo Ever After" by Emiko Jean. It was funny because I hated romance books up until like a month ago.

message 168: by Elisa (new)

Elisa | 1 comments OMG ... very difficult question as I don't really remember the first book I read. What I remember though was the very first book I bought on my own:
I was about 9 or 10, and I found out that the stationary close to where I lived in Milan had it, and it was "Le tigri di Mompracem" by Emilio Salgari. I don't remember why but I coveted it. I think it cost 800 liras, and I think it's the very first book with which the saga of Sandokan and the Malaysian Pirates begins. I bought it all on my own and I was proud and ashamed and terrified.
I obviously loved it and read it many times and knew whole long sentences of it by heart!
Wow.
It was November and cold and it was 1973 or 1974.
Wonderful

elizabeth !! (elizabethirene08) | 28 comments the love hypothesis is what got me back into to reading, which is crazy to me😭. i really liked the book though and it really got me into contemporary romance!! i found it really engaging and interesting, at least for me, and for it to be my first book i’ve read since middle school (that wasn’t forced by academics), it really dragged me in
