@Sophie RE: Frankenstein
I'd be willing to read this with you! I was going to re-read it earlier this year and got through the foreword and stuff but never made it to the actual story lol. I was wanting to re-read before picking up Poor Things since it is a retelling of/inspired by Frankenstein.
Some of my October TBR if anyone is interested in BR:
A sorceress comes to call
Island witch
Phantasma
The Familiar
Lady Macbeth- Ava Reid
Carmilla

I'm planning on reading Ink Blood Sister Scribe too! Do you want to read it in October?
@Hafs
Also planning to read Carmilla. Do you have any plan for it? :)
Other books I want to read
-Dark Harvest
-Teach the Torches to Burn
-Hell Bent
-A Master of Djinn
-The Golem and the Jinni
-Once Upon a River

@Brianna @Frankenstein
I’d want to take a little longer reading this one so I can fully fathom and enjoy it. Is there a particular time frame you’d want to read over? I figure it’d be easier to start from the start of the month and divide by chapters from there.

@Hafs @Lady Macbeth
I’m happy to read Lady Macbeth with you! It would be easier for me to read in either the beginning or the middle of the month.

@Sophie RE: Frankenstein
I am good to take it slow since it is a classic. I remember it being decently readable but I would certainly prefer a slower pace. I have nothing scheduled in October so no restrictions for timeframe to read.

I would like to join this buddy read, too. I am going to try this one again (I will/must succeed).

I would be interested in reading this one either towards the second half of October or November.
@Hafs, if Phantasma doesn’t get picked up for a group read I’d still be down to read it with you 👀 too early to tell still though

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches
Dreadful
A Discovery of Witches (this I am reading in the first half of the month)
Shards of Earth

@Leslie RE: Dreadful
I'd be willing to read this with you! It was on my list of maybe's.

I would like to join you for A Discovery of Witches
but I will most likely not be able to get too much reading/discussing done before October 7, would that still work for you?

I usually have a slow pace, but I can adapt~ From 4th to 13th, for example?
@Mina @A master of djinn
Yay!! I happy that you want to read with me! ^^ Do you want to read it on the second half of the month, starting the 15th? What pace do you prefer?
@Leslie @The golem and the jinni
Maybe the first half of november?
@Bopeep I ideally wanted to read Carmilla at the start of the month with 2-3 chapters a day does that work for you??
@Sophie around the 14 would me most ideal for me how's that??
@Edith if it doesn't get picked we could read it towards the end of the month or at the start if you already have a copy??

@Hafs I am on a work trip and won't be home until the first weekend in October, so are you okay to start it maybe Oct. 6?

@Bopeep and @Leslie I would also like to read The Golem and the Jinni with you! I have no issues about when as I already own the book and I'm ready to dive into it.
@Dia I would love to read House of Bone and Rain with you!

I would need a week because I read many books at once but I’m okay with whatever date you want to start.
@Lexus @If we were villains

2nd: Scene 11- Act 2 Scene 2
3rd: Scene 3-Act 3 Prologue
4th: Scene 1-scene 10
5th: scene 11- Act 4 prologue

@Anushka great! do you have any dates and pace in mind? My copy has the prologue + 32 chapters.
@aikaterine yayy! I don't have a copy yet so I don't know how many chapters there are but do you have a preferred pace and dates? I'm good with anything.

Yes, that sounds great! Would starting on the 3rd be okay with you?

I am absolutely fine with starting any time that works better for you!

@Hafs, @Phantasma yeah, I already have my copy but I’d be okay with the end of the month! Gives you more room to breathe with your other buddy reads too.

dracula | caraval | binding 13 | final offer, or credence as a reread!!
@Bopeep
I don't have any other BRs planned and I can read it whenever so whenever works for you, because you have other BRs too. As for pace...wanna try 3 chapters a day? I haven't been reading much and I don't know if I'll get sucked into reading or if I'll have to bribe myself into it.

I want to read Binding 13. I'm open to any date after the 5th and I don't mind the number of chapters/pages per day

@Bopeep @Ink Blood Sister Scribe
That time frame works for me! It looks like there may be a prologue + 36 chapters. I have the Book of the Month edition which according to Goodreads (too lazy to get it off my shelf) has 407 pages so do we want to break it up around 40 pages a day? I can figure out the specific chapter breakdown but it should be about 3-4.

@aikaterine RE: Legendborn and The Helm of Midnight
Would you be okay with Legendborn in October (to potentially read Bloodmarked in November) and The Helm of Midnight in November?

Let's do three chapters a day. We'll be done in 11 days that way. We can start on or after Oct 4.
@shabnam I'll be up for Binding 13, Dance of Thieves and Addie la rue as well, preferably mid October or any day after 10th. Do count me in!

perfect!! so the three of us could read binding 13, unless anyone else wants to join in haha!!
there are 68 chapters in my copy, so does this schedule works for you guys?
oct 11th: beginning- ch 5
oct 12: chapters 6- 10
oct 13: chapters 11- 15
oct 14: chapters 16- 20
oct 15: chapters 21- 25
oct 16: chapters 26- 30
oct 17: chapters 31- 35
oct 18: chapters 36- 40
oct 19: chapters 40- 44
oct 20: chapters 45- 49
oct 21: chapters 50- 54
oct 22: chapters 55- 59
oct 23: chapters 60- 64
oct 24: chapters 65- end
this makes it about 5 chapters a day, which seems a little on the long side, but in order for us to get through this during October, i feel that this is the best way!!
let me know what you think!!

oct 11th:..."
This is perfect! We can make it happen! I've read some great reviews for this one and we totally won't feel the daily 5 chapters flying by, I'm sure.

Anyone can nominate as many books as you'd like and look for a buddy! Any book that gets two nominations or more will have a buddy thread created for discussion during October. Please decide your start date and reading pace/reading goals in this thread. Once that has been decided, the mods will create a Buddy Read Discussion thread for that title. Reading the Buddy Read Guidelines is strongly recommended. There is no promise that you will have a buddy read for your nomination(s).
