Always Trolling
I'm here! Sure, let's take out the Lunatics at the beginning. Hmm, I like the Always Trolling bc it makes it sound like we are just sitting back watching and waiting for a sneak attack. :)
I PMd your missing player. 48 hours. Let me know if she is a no-show. I will put a call out for backups if I need to.
You may start the process of naming your team and getting a clown. You can at least start your tasks. There is no need to wait.
Sure, no problem. I told her Always Trolling also. You can call me Anna if you want. I'm over here trying to get everything caught up so I have a clean slate tonight but oh boy I think I joined too many things if that is even a thing.
The Lunatics

The lunatics were three psychos who escaped from a mental hospital when a circus was in town. They murdered three clowns and took their costumes as their own. All three clowns are deranged with violent tendencies. Each has their own distinct look and behavior but all are equally menacing acting in almost near silence.
Cheezo: The leader of the trio. He has an eerie calm about him.
Bippo: The most aggressive, known for erratic and unpredictable behavior.
Dippo: The quietest of the three and most malevolent.

Ohh, a spell out! I like that. I read a book that works for C. I can go add that one. I also went ahead and put the letters in order.
I've read one of the buddy reads for this month but not the other one. I noticed those get lots of points so I'll make a point to read the second one. Hopefully, Danielle shows up soon.
Was out of town for Labor Day Weekend. I just finished an H book today that is 444 pages.
For my next book I can do either:
An O book for 364 Pages or an E with 269 Pages
Let me know which one you want me to read
Totally understand. Did you go somewhere fun? We did house chores, bought a new washer and dryer, and decided being an adult is dumb. Those letters sound good to me! Let's see what Namita has and I'll take the last one.
I went to Zion National Park and did a bunch of hiking including The Narrows which was really cool. No service though - although it's nice to disconnect sometimes :) The Park was super crowded but we got started on our hikes at 6am to beat the crowds.Yep - being an adult is definitely dumb and a pain in the *** occasionally.

Thanks Anna.
Thanks Anna.
I’m good with any of the letters. Going to look at the spreadsheet now.
Glad you had fun, Danielle.

Sounds good on the O. I've been to Zion but haven't hiked the Narrows. I totally agree on the disconnecting. Sometimes being in a national park, it's nice just to shut things off for a bit and enjoy the world.
It's not my favorite series but I can read a Zanetti Scopius book for the Z. It shouldn't take me long and will help move the clown along to another one. It works for a few things that I have going on.

If you are good, I'm good. I would have done the same. lol Zanetti

I finished mine and getting it all updated to go check us in before the weekend. Sorry, work was just a touch nutsy at the end of the week. I'm good with Pennywise.
Pennywise (IT)

IT is a shapeshifting creature from the species known as Deadlights. IT arrived on Earth in an event similar to an asteroid impact landing in Derry, Maine. Once people settled here, IT adopted a 25-27 year hibernation, waking to kill and eat.
Its true form seems to be a female spider but it can morph into any human animal, nonhuman animal or object, and any combination thereof. There are benefits to this ability because IT can manipulate its targets by appearing as loved ones to lure them into traps or as their worst fears. It's favorite form is that of a clown named "Pennywise" because small children love clowns. At the same time, many people fear clowns.
IT feeds on humans but prefers children as they are easier to scare and manipulate. According to the creature, frightened flesh tastes better and uses fear to "salt the meat".
To capture IT, he must be in his clown form or he will trick you. You must force him into his clown form BEFORE you chain him up. Spell out CLOWN. Then complete the chains below.

So the goodreads app really wants to embrace the clowns! It won’t show me the tasks but have no worries, the clown pops up well, lol. I went to the browser and will definitely have a C book finished today. I can knock out another letter too. Just let me know what y’all have in the works. I don’t have much going on this weekend other than chores and the football game tonight.
I'll be on a plane to Scotland tomorrow evening - so I'll check in here before I leave for the airport to see if we have CLOWN spelled or if I need to read for another book. For the rest of the arms/legs I can do:
One Leg 2 book
One leg 1 book
Two Arm 2 books
Have an amazing time in Scotland! I'm sure that we can knock these out so that you can enjoy your travel time and then you can read when you have time while you're away. Scotland is on my bucket list. We did Ireland last year and are going to Japan next year but we will get there.
Arm 1 was tough. I had to go to listopia to find out what books were set in Maine. Found one and added to the Spreadsheet.
I'll get my O done later today so that means we should be able to start the other books hopefully in the next day or two. I'm also going to have to go find a list for Maine. I'll work on that in a bit.
I finished my N book but I’m at the airport so I can’t get into the SS. If someone will out today in for the complete date is appreciate it. The rest of the info should be in there already
So the way I understand this is that we can't finish any books for arms/legs until Namita finishes her L book to spell out CLOWN correct
Yeah, that is correct. Just hold on to them until she finishes unless you need them for another challenge. I did check and I didn't have an L book done to move hers down.
I finished Corpse at Captain's Seat by Josh Lanyon on 9/9 it has 206 pages. We can use that one and move hers to another spot.
I moved her book down to title that starts with a letter in SPIDER since it worked for that and I put my book above under L. So now we are good to go for the arms/legs.

Rules
⛓️Each clown has specific chains and/or tasks that need to be completed.
Examples:
1. Create a chain of 3 using titles consecutively (ABC)
-All the Light We Cannot See
-Becoming Mrs. Lewis
-Catching Fire
2. Create a chain of 3 with "dog" in the titles
-Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike
-The Dog Stars
-Hot Dog Girl
⛓️One person should NOT complete a whole chain by themselves. This is a team challenge. However, if a clown has multiple chains and a slower reader can only/want to only read for 1 or 2 chains (they must read at least one), then the other two faster readers on the team can complete the other chains between the two of them.
⛓️You may choose which clown from the list to capture first but you MUST complete it BEFORE starting a new clown.
⛓️You may use or drop articles: A, An, The
⛓️If you somehow manage to incorporate a Buddy Read into a chain, you can earn points based on the BR tier system.
⛓️Standard Rules Apply
⛓️At the end of the official challenge (last day of November), your team may choose to continue on at your own pace. There will be no points accumulated after November but you can finish any clowns that you didn't get to during the challenge.
Scoring
You will get 3 points for every completed book (9 per completed chain) PLUS page points.
