Yeah, the struggle is real xD It's usually not my genre too, but I got some of the books on my physical tbr so I'm happy I at least found 1984, The Handmaid's Tale, etc.

I'm starting a book for the Flame on Cover task next, since I finished both apocalypse books and there was no answer yet to my question about switching tasks @Jayme

I'm reading Tintenherz next, and picked Since You've Been Gone for the Ice Cream task after that. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to find the books, though it does help that I read a lot of different genres 🤔 I had so much fear of the apocalypse task and ended up reading two books for it 🤣 But my physical tbr came in clutch on that one 🤣

I guess I can also read more than 4 books for the chains, but it will take me more time since I will prioritise the formal buddy read soon, and can't guarantee reading more than 2 books in the week. I just need to know in advance so I can plan my books accordingly.

Okay, so @Alyana I do have one more book I can read for the Flame on Cover, do you have 2 for the Ice Cream on Cover?
Edit: I can find more Ice Cream books, but the ones for the Flame I do have on my physical tbr so it would be my preferred choice to go with that if you don't mind. I can adjust though.

So the flame I was talking about was with Audible but my subscription expired. I got lucky and found another ice cream so I can take ice cream instead of flame.

I’ll probably finish my other flame book this weekend and I’ll try also reading the ice cream on cover book by sunday but I don’t know if I’ll be able to also finish it by then. I didn't sign up for competitive or non competitive to be honest. I just didn't expect to be the tasks to be really difficult (that's the purpose of a challenge right, lol). If we cannot switch, I'm good... I think I'm just overwhelmed with the challenges I signed up for.

It's okay, I understand that since I only don't feel like that now because I already participated in a few Roundups in the past years and already expected this sort of tasks ^^ I remember feeling like that with the monster roundup before.
I did specify wanting to be on a competitive team, but I don't mind switching, since I prefer us having fun and going at a pace we can enjoy than putting unnecessary pressure and stress on us.

Yes, Jayme you only have the second humor book left for this clown. As far as I can tell, when we finish To the Nines and Since You Been Gone, we should be done with this clown and can check in in the drop-off thread. If we read any more books before, those won't count for the next clown.

Basically we have to each read 4 books for each clown, 12 total. Normally, those 4 tasks are 4 different tasks. Since you couldn't find books for some tasks, Alyana and me switched our tasks with you so you could at least read for the task you had books for (which was the humor task) and took over 2 books from you. We are not allowed to read one chain (each chain is one task, but for all three of us) alone. So you shouldn't read 3 humor books alone. But Alyana read the 3rd humor book, so everything is sorted out 👍🏼

Let's go by order. We can stay competitive since we have the option to continue if we don't finish the clowns by the end of the challenge right? And I also read that we can get easy and difficult clowns, so I'm hopeful that we get an easier one after this :)
