i finished the caraval series maybe 3-4 ish days ago and i just finished tbona (2nd book in the ouabh series) and i loved them all!

I usually highlight certain phrases that stick to me, or just important events, like confessions or something..

Annotations? I rarely annotate, unless I have something to say about an event.

it's a fun and easy read if you're trying to pass time but if you're in a slump or getting into y/a then def not

do you mean 18+ scenes? there's a lot in the later books from what i remember, so you'd probably want to avoid it. as for the content/plot of the series, i found it pretty dull. nothing you can't get from other ya romances.

@Fierce, I recommend for fantasy; Heartless, Assistant to the Villain, Melanie Cellier's books (okay, so, I haven't actually read any of them yet, but I've read so many good things about them), Sarah Beran's books (I've only read her newest book, Snapdragon, so far, it was really good! But I've heard lots of good things about her books, too), Caraval, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Chronicles Of Narnia....
A lot of people seem to like Powerless, it wasn't my cup of tea, but you might like it.

For thriller, I haven't read many of her books yet, but Natasha Preston writes thrillers, and I have a few GR friends who seem to really like her books.

Romance, Letters to the Lost, Better than the Movies, The Selection...

I don't have any recommendations for any of the other genres you're looking for, sorry. I actually have more recommendations, but my mind keeps going blank when I try to remember all the books I've read, and the ones I can remember are Christian, which I don't think you'd probably like (though I could be wrong), but feel free to look through my GR lists if you want!
