YA Fantasy. About a girl main character, at the end of the book she goes with a man a romantic interest who takes her to his land in the sky. There is a part where she gets stuck on the bottom side of the land and has to hold on for a whole night.

I think it was probably YA
I can’t remember their names
To get to the sky they rode dragons and the love interest was like the prince of the upper world and had a special dragon.

Not sure if this is it but it has a scene like you’re describing. The FMC goes to the city in the sky and they ride either birds or dragons (sorry been a while since I read it so not sure which). She somehow falls/gets knocked off and ends up cling to an a root or rock all night till the leaders son finds her.
