Hi!
I heard in several Booktube videos a while back (I would say between 2016 and 2019) about this YA book where they had some type of system where you could pass tests to find out which activity you are most suited for.
The protagonist ended up excelling at golf but realising pretty fast that he doesn’t really enjoy the activity and wondering if it’s really worth it to participate in something just because you happen to be good at it.
I always thought the premise was interesting and think about it once in a while but I never wrote the title down and all Google is giving me is titles about golf in general (which like our main character doesn’t appeal to me one bit 😉).
Any chance someone knows this one?

That book was meant for teenagers/young adults.
I wanna say it takes places in the US but I’m not sure.

It might be set in the near future (a little distopyan feel maybe??)
