How do you read so many Belkis? I'm getting stressed because I have so many going at one time, which I guess I shouldn't do. I'm down to 5 now and it seems I can never get them done. :-/

Oh I don't usually read more than 1 book at a time Melissa. If I have 2 books going at the same time it's because I have 1 ebook & 1 audiobook going since I only get actual reading time at nights before I go to bed LOL! I mostly listen to my audiobooks during the day while at work and I thank the Lord every day for my audiobooks becuase I LOVE LOVE to read and my crazy work hours/schedules doesn't leave me a lot of reading time and that made me so unhappy. But I mostly stick to 1 book at a time, finish it and move right into the next one.

message 61: by Belkis (new)

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay I finished One Wish (Thunder Point, #7) by Robyn Carr and it was another nice sweet read in this series :) next up for me Manwhore (Manwhore, #1) by Katy Evans woohoo!!

oh YAY!! I LOVE LOVE the Slammed trilogy so much Sylvia :) I'm so happy you ended up liking it. The next 2 books in the trilogy are fantastic too. I hope you continue reading them. I fell utterly in love with Colleen Hoover with this, her first book, and so glad I found it early enough where only this trilogy was for her books and luckily all 3 books were out so I could read them back to back and since then I have read them at least once a year I love them so much. Sigh.... Love CoHo! Oh and the audiobooks are fantastic of course hahhahaha!

You can look on the main Weekly RC thread for the list of the theme per week so you can plan ahead if you want to Melissa.

The theme for next week on the list is: 17. a book a friend recommended

Here's the link for the 52 week listing: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay so I had to shelf Manwhore (Manwhore, #1) by Katy Evans for now because I was very bored with it. So decided to jump into Virgin River (Virgin River, #1) by Robyn Carr instead since I've wanted to start this series for a very long time and it's the first generation series before her Thunder Point series which I really enjoy.

I haven't posted the new topic up yet but will do so later on tonight but Belkis pointed you to the right direction where you can view the themes ahead

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments Well my Lord! See I told you I never can find anything. Thank you both. I will try and find it on my tiny phoneeeeee. Ok can it be by word of mouth. I'm reading two right now that were recommended, but um one is 1200 pages and I have been working on it since beginning of year so I don't think I would count that one. Hmmmm wish I could make big eyes so you can get my point. Lol

I knowwwww. I could have had it done but I'm reading a hundred more with it all of the time. I have one book I just put on my reading now list that someone told me was good I should read. I have 8 books going again and you know what, I don't care. Hey, I might add one of the ones you told me Belkis :-). Maybe I could read two. I don't know.

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments And there is a big freaking water bug in here! I couldn't get to it and it's somewhere creeping around. It's going to get me in my sleep!! OMG!!!

Ungth. I might attempt to. I have two more lined up if I lag. I might wait and sigh up on tues to see how I'm doing first. Because I want to try to do two if I don't make that one.

I was looking ahead and I found me a Pulitzer Prize book. Having trouble with the 100 year books. I did listopia and it showed done stuff but I wasn't for sure. The rough one will be picking a favorite book of mom or dad. Mom reads but I don't think she ever had a favorite. Hmmm

message 78: by Belkis (new)

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Yeah Melissa The Mom & Dad theme week is going to be bad for me too. My dad didn't really read books that I knew of. He mostly read the newspaper and my mom mostly reads christian books and the bible and ahhhh, no, none of those are options so I don't know what I'm going to do about that week :/

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments Hmmmmm. Maybe if too many people have probs we can pick a mom or dad friend. Mine would have to be on here I only have a couple of live friends. That so didn't sound right. I meant in flesh and blood. Oh forget it. Lol. My mom likes horror and westerns. Westerns are out but I could just pick a horror she read. Neither one have favorite books.

LOL! Maybe Melissa, let's see how that goes when we get closer to that week. I'm going to have issues even with mom & dad friends since even for the few friends my mom has I don't know their reading likes, or if they even have any, sigh. I do have loads of aunties on my mom's side and they're awesome and do have favorite books many that I'd definitely read so maybe....

message 85: by Belkis (new)

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments I finished Virgin River (Virgin River, #1) by Robyn Carr very late last night/very early this morning and it was wonderful :) now I'm back to both Split Second (Pivot Point, #2) by Kasie West & Manwhore (Manwhore, #1) by Katy Evans so I can get them finished by tomorrow before we start our week 17 books.

Maybe we read something from other Mum & Dads, like I list my parents books and everyone else does the same, then we choose from someone else's list like, you from mine and vice versa. What do you think?

I think that's an excellent idea Sylvia. My dad didn't read and the only thing my mom read was the Left Behind series and that's because I have them and told her they were good. Unfortunately I have already read them.

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay so I finished Manwhore (Manwhore, #1) by Katy Evans and just like I thought when I was 30% into it, it wasn't great. Turned out to be slow and predictable with a frustrating heroine and a cliffhanger ending ugh! But on a good note, Split Second (Pivot Point, #2) by Kasie West is very good :) and I should be done with it tonight, so yay! This turned out to be a very good week for me.
