I'm not trying to change anyone's mind with this comment; it is just an FYI.

Since this challenge is for two months, you can double the levels if you wish.

For example, I chose Level 3 (times 2) for six books and the bonus option. (The bonus is 1 additional book at each level.)

Morana (moranalove) | 102 comments What exactly is a bonus book?

message 15: by Angie ☯ (last edited Jul 23, 2024 07:43PM) (new)

Angie ☯ | 3456 comments Mod
Hi Morana!
The bonus is just one book in addition to the level you choose that has a different spin on how to pick. For the previous challenge, the book was one off the shelf of the person picking for you and this one it is...

⛱️ Bonus Option = Choose a book from your partner's shelf that you have added to your TBR lately or would now like to!

It is optional! You don't have to choose to do the bonus.

Partners have been assigned. Your partner's shelf is linked on their name and the number of books to choose for them in in parenthesis after their level.

If your partner chose to have a bonus - don't forget to choose an addition book for them from their shelf that you have added to your own recently (or will now that you saw it on their shelf.)

Have fun!!

Thanks! I probably have the last two on my TBR because you told me about them at some time so I'll try to start with those two. I do love my hockey boys. The rest look good too. I'm 22 on the hold list at the library for Breaking the Dark and it looks like the library has tons of copies.

message 46: by Erica (new)

Erica | 566 comments I finished Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury today. Just wow. I will definitely read this again sometime.

message 47: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 1918 comments Completion Post - Book 1

Lying in the Deep by Diana Urban

Book - Lying in the Deep
Author - Diana Urban
Date Read - 8/7/24
Rating - 4 stars
Review - This was a new author for me and I have to say that I like her writing style. I prefer my YA books to be a mystery/thriller read. They seem to be my favorite lately. The premise of the book was set on a semester abroad on a cruise ship. I always wanted to do a semester at sea while in college, but was poor af and I did not have the grades to get a scholarship. Usually, back then during the ice age and time of the dinosaurs, you had to pay out of pocket for those kinds of things. Anyhoo, this was a bit of a fun mystery/thriller with a couple of twists that I partially figured out. I can always figure out the who did it, but as to the reason, that's always a bit of a surprise to me.

message 48: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 1918 comments Book 2 - DNF

Book - Summer Bird Blue
Author - Akemi Dawn Bowman
Date - DNF at Chapter 5
Rating - Did not read enough to rate it
Review - DNF at Chapter 5 - I'm not rating this because I don't think I read enough to give it a rating. This has a lovely cover. I did not like the story or the MC who was a snotty little brat. I get she was sad because her sister died in a car accident and she felt abandoned by her mother, but she was a brat before any of this took place. The writing was so repetitive to the point that every thought that came out of her head was her feeling sorry for herself, how she hates everyone, when people spoke to her she was so apathetic and rude that I honestly wanted someone to slap the shit out of her. She treated her mother like shit and didn't seem to care that her mom was sad as well. All she cared about was herself.
