That's the first one, Elise, and I thought it was very suspenseful. I also enjoyed the two sequels. We watched the Swedish TV series, it was better than the Daniel Craig movie.

Ooh, I'm looking forward to that one! How did you like it?

If you haven’t read Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, give it ago, you won’t be disappointed. Also, anything by Neil Gaiman is a good bet for fantasy, especially Neverwhere.
Refugee by Alan Gratz
The One by Kiera Cass
The Siren by Kiera Cass
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

The first one feels a bit like being on a walk-through of somebody’s dream. The next ones are a lot better, with more plot focus and less of Roland roaming around aimlessly.

I hope The Housemaid is Watching is just as good. I've heard mixed reviews.

The Wish by Nicholas Sparks
The whole Shatter Me series
Powerless and Powerful by Lauren Roberts
28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand
Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand
All the Housemaids books by Freida McFadden

Some of my hall of fame reads have been Kate Atkinson's Life After Life, You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle, And The Band Played On by Randy Shilts, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis, and Shannon Hale's Austenland.
