A wonderful novel (and I've been to the original Menabilly near Fowey in Cornwall).

has become my favorite author is Kelly Barnhill. Her incredible stories have captivated me. The book is an engrossing anthology titled "Dreadful Young Ladies and Other Stories. "
Oh my, what fabulous imagery, conviction, and compassion she shows in these all too short tales of outstanding fantasy. The author, or should I called her the weaver of dreams? Her stories are incredibly different from anything else I've read since GOT. (I took a seven year hiatus from reading, and now I'm trying desperately to catch up!) I feel as if I've come out from a lurid coma, in which her wonderful stories fed my mind. I urge you to read this and to drop me a 👍 or a 👎. I am curious to if you'd be as affected as I was by, "Mrs, Sorenson & the Sasquatch" or the uniquely inventive coming-of-age novella that's included at the end, ". Happy reading!! ✌

A Very Large Expansion of Sea
Better Than the Movies
Those are probably my top 3 but I’ve read so many amazing books so far this year.

I am sure hooked on this series. I just wish that Sonsie would come home.

Fiction: "The Feast of the Goat," by Mario Vargas Llosa; "Flashman's Lady," by George Fraser; and "Waiting for the Barbarians" by J.M. Coetzee.
