Well, there we have it--I'm still looking for XYZ and UVW, but I THINK I have the other letters taken care of--but I'm not going to list them yet, in case I wind up changing my mind again
Evermore is a YA (or at least, that what it reads like to me) but still a good story. No vamps, were's etc--but there are psychics and immortals. The Immortals are NOT vamps, they are just, well, immortal. Ever, from who's pov everthing is told had a NDE (near death experience) and as a result is not psychic. There are other contributing factors, but if I say any more, it'll be major spoilers, so, nah nah nah. :oP

I have read 6/9 so far, that is only because I work with special needs indiviuals in their homes. My fellows are older and go to bed at 7pm, so I sit with 5 to sometimes 10 hours by myself. Reading is like breathing, can't go without it.

Never After is a collection of 4 short stories. As with all collections, some are better than others. But I gave it a 4 out of 5, since 2 of the stories were very good and the other 2 were OK. There weren't any that I didn't like.
Quick review on a few of the books I've read for the challenge this month. Following in the footsteps of my peer pressure wench role models, Michelle M., Mel and Amelia...I know that m/m (m/m = male/male, aka gay) is not everyone's cuppa, so if that's something you just can't see yourself getting into, I'll give you a pass. But anyone who has even the tiniest inkling that they might be into seeing what m/m is all about, please read Among the Living by Jordan Castillo Price. This is the first in an awesome paranormal m/m series. I read the whole series in about five days and it's now on my "eagerly awaiting the next book" list. Very addictive. If you like PNR/UF and are even a little bit interested in m/m erotica, you will not be disappointed.

Barely Bewitched is Kimberly Frost's newest book--and book 2 in the series. You know what they say about Everything's bigger in Texas? Well, that includes disasters caused by a witch who can't exactly control her magic. We have witches and warlocks and pixie dust, oh my. Not to mention a red-headed witch. Go, go, red-heads. :o) Its also humourous. I gave it 5 of 5, simply because I loved all the laughs--and that Mercutio (the familar, who is an ocelot) seems to be the most intelligent of all cats. Of course, MY cat is of the opinion that SHE could do a better job than Mercutio, but hey, she has always had delusions about her size and strength (she thinks she's a tiger.)
4 of 9. It pains me to admit this, but as much as Katie MacAlister is one of my favorite authors, I didn't find Even Vampires Get the Blues good enough to keep in my keeper shelf. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't her typical zany humor :(F/G/H = G ryphon - Mona Lisa Awakening by Sunny

Started Chosen and Lover Awakened, but decided to pick up Frostbite on Saturday - I loved it, so much so that I couldn't go to bed tonight until I'd finished it. Its a five out of five. Have to re-arrange my list to get Shadow Kiss in there, got to carry on with it - thank God I'm getting Blood Promise for Christmas!!!

I totally agree with you on MacAlister's Dark One's series. Unfortunately, they go down hill at the point you are at. She even went so far as to have an open ending/to be continued at the end of Zen and the Art of Vampires. I've actually decided not to continue the series because of the last few have been horrible compared to the beginning of this series.

I loved this book. It didn't have the same intensity the books of the twins had (and therefore didn't get the 5 stars) but it was very entertaining indeed. I loved Rehv. Wish we could have seen a bit more of John and his boys. It was great to reunite with Wrath and Beth though. And good to see all the Brothers together again :)

I seem to be moving slower than I expected to also. * Question - Do all of the books for this challenge have to be of paranormal genre? I have a few that I want to read this month that are in no way fantasy, supernatural or paranormal. It would make it a little easier to get 9 books in, this is starting to sound more difficult for me. lol I will do what I can and not stress too much if I don't make it.

As much as possible, I encourage everyone to use books that has some paranormal element in it, due to the nature of the group where the challenge is being hosted.
However, I don't really nitpick, so if you want to squeeze in a few non-PNR books, that will not be a problem with me.
