After this, There's a few loose books in the universe, and the start of a new Percy series, then there's the whole Rick Riordan Presents if we want to keep some of this genre going.
Started also. I had to look up the publication date--and it's interesting, there is obviously a lot of inspiration from the world wave of fascist-style Nationalism--Nero's personality and skill at gaslighting is very Trump... and since Riordan is from Texas, that makes sense... I swear I thought he was Australian until I looked this up...Really enjoying! Through Chapter 29. I can also see that this is setting up for The Sun and the Star: A Nico di Angelo Adventure which makes me really excited! I'm so looking forward to more Nico and Will
I didn't realize that there was a Nico adventure book. I will have to add that one on to my list. I finished this book a little while back and enjoyed it. Still sad about the losses earlier in the series but feel like it wraps up nicely.

I really like how Apollo managed to have character growth but still stay core self--like... maybe he lost most of his selfishness, but not all his callousness? Or something. I especially liked how at the end, (view spoiler)
Next up would be the Nico book! Y'all want to shoot for next month, or a different date? Then the new Percy series comes after that. Then... I think we'll have caught up to his publications. But we could try one of the Rick Riordan Presents series, like Aru Shah and the End of Time or Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky. There's a list [here]
Looks like Wrath of the... and The Sun and the star are in county libraries. I'll try to find out when I can have them..
Currently reading Percy Jackson and the singer of Apollo. Have Wrath of the triple goddess and The chalice of the gods. Need to finish them before end of November..
Finished Chalice and enjoyed it, started Wrath... Have also The Sun and the star... Sorry guys I'm not waiting...
Chalice was good but I've read it so long ago now I don't remember it. I am still waiting for Wrath from the library.I have The Sun and the Star but I haven't been in the mood. Maybe when you start that one Monica it will give me the nudge to read it.
Gah! Chatting w/@Monika in the Assassin's Blade BR reminded me I hadn't checked in on this thread to schedule the next one... and y'all already read without me, lol! The upset in notifications + the last few months being a wash for me rather put a dent in my ability to keep track and reply to folks...I do want to read The Sun and the Star next. @Rachel--would you be up for a proper BR? Maybe January 15?
I think Monika'd already be done by the time these come around though... library and all that... anyway, potential schedule but open to suggestions....
0. The Sun and the Star: A Nico di Angelo Adventure (Jan 15)
1. The Chalice of the Gods (Feb 15)
2. Wrath of the Triple Goddess (Mar 15)
Could put Legendborn/Grishaverse in after that, @Monika...
Yes, I am good to do The Sun and Star on Jan. 15. I will plan on the other two books as well.I was looking to see when it was due back to the library and I have already had it out 6 weeks, which I didn't realize, but since no one is waiting for it I can have it for another 9 so no problem.
@RachelG I'm starting The Sun tomorrow.@Nirkatze I'm OK with Legendborn and Grishaverse after you guys are done with Riordan :) I'll be busy to catch up with ARCs from Netgalley I'm still behind plus want to clean few non-fantasy series I started and has no time to finish :)
Cool! I just put in a request for Jan 15 for Sun & The Star--maybe the thread'll be up soon enough for you to leave us some early thoughts, Monika! Will put in requests for the other two & Legendborn later.
