Emma R. | 195 comments I've started my two books and I am about 20% into both. One, The Deepest Blue, is a reread but I'm listening to the audiobook for the first time. Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with Fresh Bite is an anthology, and I'm enjoying the different stories.

Jan Mc (mcfitzsatx) | 69 comments I am really struggling with "The Highly Sensitive Person," but I have started on "The Henna Artist." I will at least get that one done this week.

This topic of Wellness is difficult for me, as I don't have many books that meet the criteria! What does that say about me? LOL

Jan and Marie - I'm sorry that you are having difficulty with the theme. I know that the topic is wellness, but wellness doesn't have to be the topic of your book.
I'm planning on reading a book that is set at a spa/hotel on an island
The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren
You could have a book set in the woods, nature on the cover, setting is the beach, color magenta on the cover, green on the cover - represents calming nature, garden on the cover... Here are a few lists

I hope this helps

Thank you so much, Jayme. I just don't read many self-help-type books, but your ideas and lists make a big difference.

In fact, although I chose "The Henna Artist" for the magenta cover, the MC's work is about wellness, both mental and physical.

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2296 comments I am going to do Vagina Obscura An Anatomical Voyage by Rachel E. Gross Next

It works for the Annual challenge and it has nature on the cover
I was pulled in by the title and the fact that it was available from my library

I also have A Heart That Works again nature on the cover But also about dealing with grief maybe I can work it into the annual challenge too

Amanda | 1797 comments I finished The Lord Is My Courage: Stepping Through the Shadows of Fear Toward the Voice of Love and am 54% done with Group: How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life, which I hope to finish today. I don't have much to do on Wednesdays, so I should be able to read for a large part of the day.

♞ Pat Gent | 629 comments Hi gang. I'm a little late checking in, but I'm HERE. Summer Reading started on June 1 at the library, so I've been SWAMPED.

But I've got a book that I'm reading -- it's sort of a slog -- but it's going to fit the "self care" theme. The MC has a leg injury, but he's eager to escape his toxic home environment in Cornwall and do something "useful" in the world, so he's off on an expedition to Peru to collect cuttings from trees that are used to produce quinine, which is essential for treating malaria. Then he will export those cuttings back to England so they can be planted and hopefully grow into a local orchard of sorts.

So it's global (England to Peru and back) and about wellness (treating/curing malaria).

It's a serious slog of a book, and I'm dealing with a new foster dog who won't eat and all the things at the library, so I'm not making a great deal of progress on it, but it should have it finished by the end of the week!
