I am glad it is not only me - i will get through it but have to alternate with the other one
I've started my two books and I am about 20% into both. One, The Deepest Blue, is a reread but I'm listening to the audiobook for the first time. Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with Fresh Bite is an anthology, and I'm enjoying the different stories.
I am really struggling with "The Highly Sensitive Person," but I have started on "The Henna Artist." I will at least get that one done this week. This topic of Wellness is difficult for me, as I don't have many books that meet the criteria! What does that say about me? LOL

Jan and Marie - I'm sorry that you are having difficulty with the theme. I know that the topic is wellness, but wellness doesn't have to be the topic of your book.
I'm planning on reading a book that is set at a spa/hotel on an island
You could have a book set in the woods, nature on the cover, setting is the beach, color magenta on the cover, green on the cover - represents calming nature, garden on the cover... Here are a few lists

I hope this helps
Jayme wrote: "I'm sorry that you are having difficulty with the theme...."Thank you so much, Jayme. I just don't read many self-help-type books, but your ideas and lists make a big difference.
In fact, although I chose "The Henna Artist" for the magenta cover, the MC's work is about wellness, both mental and physical.
I am going to do
Next It works for the Annual challenge and it has nature on the cover
I was pulled in by the title and the fact that it was available from my library
I also have A Heart That Works again nature on the cover But also about dealing with grief maybe I can work it into the annual challenge too
I finished my first book, Something Fresh and enjoyed it. it was funny, lighthearted and entertaining. I will start Frenchman's Creek now and gopher for another book, that I can listen to on audio alongside.

I Love Daphne DuMaurier
I finished The Lord Is My Courage: Stepping Through the Shadows of Fear Toward the Voice of Love and am 54% done with Group: How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life, which I hope to finish today. I don't have much to do on Wednesdays, so I should be able to read for a large part of the day.
Hi gang. I'm a little late checking in, but I'm HERE. Summer Reading started on June 1 at the library, so I've been SWAMPED. But I've got a book that I'm reading -- it's sort of a slog -- but it's going to fit the "self care" theme. The MC has a leg injury, but he's eager to escape his toxic home environment in Cornwall and do something "useful" in the world, so he's off on an expedition to Peru to collect cuttings from trees that are used to produce quinine, which is essential for treating malaria. Then he will export those cuttings back to England so they can be planted and hopefully grow into a local orchard of sorts.
So it's global (England to Peru and back) and about wellness (treating/curing malaria).
It's a serious slog of a book, and I'm dealing with a new foster dog who won't eat and all the things at the library, so I'm not making a great deal of progress on it, but it should have it finished by the end of the week!
Title :
The Bedlam Stacks
Got to get to another book that I am not sure I can link to the theme but maybe I will find something as I read
I am just over 50% into my audiobook and I'm really liking it. Thought provoking. I have some more commute time tomorrow so looking forward to picking it up again.
Should be finished with my book sometime this evening I am enjoying this rom-com brain floss. I'm so glad the MC had a day at a resort spa - wish I could join her.
Almost finished with "The Henna Artist." My next book is going to be The Invention of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt's New World by Andrea Wulf.

I DNF'd the book I was reading and started another one that I hope to finish by tomorrow. "fingers crossed"
I am struggling to find time to read and my current book isn't thrilling. I am not sure if I will get any finished before tomorrow now
I'm sorry, team, I won't be getting any books read. My Mom was in the hospital and then rehab, and I've had a lot to deal with. I didn't say anything earlier cause I kept hoping I'd get at least one done. So again, I'm so sorry!

Thank you! It's been rough but I think we're on the way to recovery. She's working on getting her strength back now.
I have just finished my book but wont be able to report it until tomorrow. Had a crazy week at work but glad could get to it!
Finished I Thought It Was Just Me: Women Reclaiming Power and Courage in a Culture of Shame, and am going to try to finish a fourth book before noon.
