I'm staring Elatsoe today as it fits in with a reading challenge I'm in.
I wanted to like this but found it disappointing. World building was lazy. Random creatures appeared randomly; I wasn’t expecting vampires or fairies… are they part of Apache lore? (After doing some research, I learned “yes.”) Dialogue was awkward. This all just felt like middle school Scooby Doo adventure time rather than young adult paranormal fantasy. The audiobook narrator did nothing to help the story.
I gave it one star.
