SOLVED. Children's Picture Book. White cat rescued by a mother and daughter. Pre-2013. [s]

Hey guys im looking for this book my best friend used to love when she was younger. She read it when she was younger and I know for a fact its pre 2013. It's this picture book about a white cat who is found and rescued by a mother and daughter who end up adopting it. More details regarding the plot are a bit blurry but at the very end of the book theres a picture of the cat.

There's really not much information I have regarding the book besides this. She also does believe the story began at night. Also, the book's title is not "Lost and Found Cat" by Doug Kutz, Amy Shrodes, and Sue Cornielson. Would appreciate any help!

Yes it is based on a true story and the photo at the end is a picture of the real cat.

Have you checked the series by Holly Webb? I read it as a child around 2006
