Bass Ackwards and Belly Up has a Kate, but I don't think the rest matches.How many teenagers were featured in the book? Was it a mix of male and female?
No it’s not that book. Unfortunately I don’t remember how many teens were in the book but I remembered the last chapter was the pov of a guy. If I remember correctly, one of the chapters was from the pov of the one of the sisters of the main character.
Bleed by Laurie Faria Stolarz looks like a match - the girl who meets the ex-prisoner at the diner is called Kelly, though.

Plot:
From what I remember, each chapter was a different POV of teenagers who knew each other or had a connection with one another. The first chapter was about this shy girl who ends up having sex with her friend’s boyfriend in a garden behind lilies after they go swimming in her pool. One of the chapter’s focuses on said friend (whose name is Kate I believe) and she is getting ready to meet up with some adult man who was released from prison at a diner. She wore a yellow dress to meet with him. She is obsessed with him but ultimately leaves disappointed after meeting him. And the last chapter focuses on the boyfriend who slept with his girlfriend’s friend and how he wants to spend more time with the friend. I think it takes place in the summer. I also think there was a chapter about a teen doing drugs but I only remember those 3 chapters.
I don’t think it was appropriate for me to read at the time haha but I’m pretty sure it was young adult. Any help is appreciated!!
