The April 2015 Endicott book is
The Priest Fainted by Catherine Temma Davidson.
Who's reading?

Jalilah | 132 comments My library does not having and I am also trying not to buy too many new books. I will try and get an inter-library loan on this one. It looks interesting!

Janice (JG) I have begun the book, and I am enjoying the atmosphere and style, especially with the inclusion of stories of Greek goddesses and myths. The story is told in first person present, which is unusual, but I like it so far.

Couldn't find it at my library.I like the inclusion/intrusion of classical mythology in the modern world, so this one might be worth seeking out - maybe through inter-library loan, like Jalilah.
Janice, did you finish it? I'd love to hear how you liked it if you did.

I did finish it, and I enjoyed it. It felt authentic. I really liked her telling, and re-tellings, of the myths and how they wind through Greek life even now. The atmosphere she was able to invoke pervaded the story and left me craving Greek food :) I recommend it.

I got a notification that my inter-library loan of this book arrived! I probably won't be able to read it for a few weeks though.

Jalilah | 132 comments This book seems very good. I just started this morning. I too like the inclusion of all the Greek Myths.

Jalilah | 132 comments It's a reflection of mother daughter relationships,a coming of age story, about finding your roots, and Greek Mythology all in one. I am really enjoying it!
