Enya gave Ruth one last glance before shifting back to Wylan. “I noticed what you’ve been drawing is really detailed. You got all the talent.” She sighed dramatically but it was obvious she was making a joke.

When Ruth introduced herself Enya gave her a slight wave, trying to show there was no hard feelings.

Wylan smiled at Enya. “That’s not true, you have plenty of talent of your own.” They replied before turning to Ruth. “It’s just a scrap from a project I’m working on right now, why do you ask?” They said to Ruth.

Enya paused. The metal scrap was pretty normal. Maybe Ruth had a crush on her brother…

Wylan smiled in response before continuing to fidget with the scrap metal, looking down at it.

Ruth remembered she never actually got a snack which is what she came here for so she walked back over to where you get food

Enya looked down at the table for a moment, deep in though. She turned to Wylan with fake excitement plastered on. “I think she likes you!” She felt proud of herself for not having her voice sound strained.

“Like romantically or platonically?” Wylan said, looking up at Enya.

“Romantically…” she tried to give him an encouraging smile but she failed. She wondered if he noticed

“Why do you look sad?” Wylan asked her, noticing how her smile faded. It didn’t make sense to him, Ruth possibly being interested in him. Enya was definitely the more attractive sibling out of the two of them, and he wasn’t even interested in girls anyway.

“Oh it’s uh nothing….” She gave him a thumbs up. “Anyway I know you’re not into girls but she looks pretty,” she flinched at that work. “And uh seemed to like you?”

Wylan nodded. Something seemed off with Enya, though he didn’t comment on it. “Are you sure she might like me, it may just be me being clueless, but I didn’t notice anything that might imply she had a crush on me?”

“Well,” Enya flushed suddenly feeling stupid. “The way she came over to ask about metal… it was a normal scrap to everyone but Vulcan kids. Plus she seemed to go out of her way to introduce herself.” Enya was in too far to back out now. Better forge ahead.

Wylan seemed to consider this, though they were mostly focused on Enya’s expression. “Are you sure you’re okay?” They asked, since something still seemed off with her.

“Fine.” She squeaked. Dang it she said it too quickly. Please don’t notice, please don’t notice, she begged the gods.

After Ruth grabbed her snack she walked back over to Wylan and enya “is it ok if I sit here?” She asked

Enya shot Wylan a glance that said , ‘I told you so’ before giving a slight nod at Ruth

“Thanks” she said quietly the. She sat down across from them

“Sooooo…” Enya started awkwardly. She quickly looked at Wylan and her and said, “well I’ll leave you two be. Cya later Wylan!” She forced a smile and hurried out of the dining hall.

Wylan felt his face drop as Enya left. ”What are you doing Enya?” He thought to himself. He felt a wave of discomfort wash over him. He would have never come to the Dining Pavilion if Enya hadn’t asked him, and now he was left alone there.
